"I have a problem with resisting the urge to “tinker” when I buy prepared food. This lasagna comes from a local gem here on the mountain in Hamilton, Ontario called Sweet Paradise. I grew up in this area and went to high school right up the road, so Sweet Paradise was always on the lunch list for a meat lovers panzerotti! As I got older, and my palette refined, I started to really appreciate what this little local giant had to offer.They have a hot foods counter where they make some seriously good eats you can grab for an after work lazy night. I know it’s good food, but I always need to take it up a notch, because I’m a neurotic control freak when it comes to food. There, I said it! ;)A place like Sweet Paradise is a very convenient spot for a guy like me. You can get everything you need to punch up a dish right on site! The extra sauce is also one of their in-house creations. It’s their locally renowned spicy sugo all'arrabbiata sauce, and if you’re in the neighbourhood, don’t skip a visit there just for a jar of the sauce alone. It’s totally worth it!The bakery and deli aren’t lacking either. Some of the finest desserts in the city come out of Sweet Paradise, so they definitely live up to their name. I absolutely love this place, and as a food guy, consider myself incredibly lucky to have them so close! Check them out at 630 Stone Church Road West (just east of Upper Paradise) in Hamilton, Ontario!"

"We entered this bakery and were greeted by the sweet, delicious smell of baked goods. Immediately we were offered a sample that we took eagerly. The Mini Biscotti were still warm and absolutely delicious. We bought Skor Biscotti, chocolate covered pretzels and peanut butter pops....They were all amazing. Can't wait to go back!"

"It was not busy. One large party of 12 and a couple of two-tops. Soup was flavorless. Antipasto plate was a reasonable value, as was wine by the glass. Table service at the novice level. They did not notice long empty glasses. We had to...wave down someone for a second drink while still waiting for our meals 90 mins after we arrived. We noticed that some people in the large party were still waiting for their meals while most offered had already finished. The food arrived hot but the portion-size for the veal was tiny, the breadding was soggy on the bottom and the marsala sauce was congealing. The vegetables, a mixture of cut beans, broccoli, carrots, etc., were over cooked to the point of being easily mushed with a fork. No one asked how are meals were, indeed we couldn't get eye contact from the staff entering the dining room, so with no time left to go anywhere else before we needed to be home, we ate. My partner was equally disappointed with his manicotti. When the bill came and we were asked how things were I expressed my disappointment. We were offered and apology and explanation they were having trouble in the kitchen. Charged us full price. Sad that this reportedly classic Hamilton gem was so disappointing. With so many other great dining options in town, we will not be back."
