"Same patio, same venue, same place, almost same brakfasts (some improvements, like the toilettes, much better coffee, home made tortillas, etc.). Now it is called Maria Xoconostle, with an excellent Mexican Cuisine for lunch and dinner."

"For $200 pesos, we had more food than we could eat. The omelette with cheese, mushrooms and ham was fluffy and flavorful. The hubby had the chiliqueles and the verde sauce was excellent. The Mexican coffee was perfect with a touch of cinnamon. Reasonable place...for breakfast and the interior is very interesting"

"What you typically have at a golf course joint is burgers and beer. The Bunker is at the Ventanas golf course restaurant, but they have taken golf course restaurant ito a higher level with a very expanded menu. Although the burgers are the best in San Miguel, it also has one of the best Caesar salads I have ever eaten, and I am picky about my Caesar, plus steaks, tacos (of course!' We are in Mexico!), more salad options, breaded chicken breast (ask to be cooked less. Someone told the world that chicken should be cooked an hour until it could be used as shoe soles. Julia Child would have a heart attack if she saw the unrecognizable dry rock that passes for cooked chicken breast today). The arrachera is sliced a bit too thin, and cooked a bit too long, so avoid that. The dog (Costco)'is delicious, slit and packed with chopped bacon and tomatoes. The Bunker taco with steak is excellent and comes with refried beans and a slice or two of avocado. Two is a meal. Don't even think of asking for white wine. They don't have it, but usually have a decent red. They have a good selection of beers, in cans and on top, but no Modello. Some kind of a tiff with Modello. It happens here. Someone insulted another and the customers take the brunt and no longer will their favorite beer be served. It's Mexico. Order a burger and a tequila and you won't care."
