"We ate from the 2 course menu that was included as part of the 2 night offer. When we were presented with the menu it came with a very limited wine choice which was printed at the top of the set menu. As wine was at our expense we found this strange so we asked for the full wine menu which we were then presented with. My partner ordered bread with flavoured butters to start; the bread was excellent but the butter appeared to have just been taken out of the freezer, it was very difficult to spread and the flavour was impaired as a result of the freezing. I ordered the arancini balls which tasted okay but were very heavy and came with a very dense cold sauce. A lighter warm sauce would have been a better option. My partner had a chicken main course which he said was excellent. I had spaghetti in a tomato sauce with veg balls. The spaghetti was very soft and clearly overcooked. The veg balls had the consistency of mush and the tomato sauce was flavourless. The restaurant was lively and the staff were very attentive, professional and friendly. The following night we decided to eat at the bar. My partner had a beef burger which he said was very nice. I had a beetroot burger which was so overcooked that I couldn't get a knife through parts of it. I ordered tzatziki to go with my burger which was probably the worst I've ever tasted. The bar area was lovely, very tastefully decorated and a pleasant place to eat/drink. Very disappointed overall with the veggie meals that I had."
