"My dad was quite curious about African cuisine last spring, so my adventure started in the small Eithiopie section of LA. My first time here was with my dad order different dishes for the extract, and I came back several times because I enjoy REALLY the way their food tastes. Here's what I had in Little Ethiopia: Pea and Lentil Samosas. Very delicious! I almost remember the Indian version because they were sharp. (see picture) Vegetarian ALICHA Spread Court. I could eat as a vegetarian every day and be happy as a shell. (see picture) Chicken with hard boiled eggs (Doro Wat), lamb (Sega Wat) and beef spreads out. So very spicy, but NOT hot delicious. (see pic) Beef tar dish called KITFO served with IAB (yogurt cheese). I'm not a Rindtar fan, so I tried the ingwerly. lol... it was good, but the more a reflection of my own personal bias that I would no longer order this and not the restaurant. I'd rather stick to the vegetarian courts. (see picture) The ambience feels and looks like a café in a 3rd world country, lol, but people are so nice and friendly. The service is a little slow, but its really nice change in speed from the rat race outside. I don't care how you know that the owners/servers do the best they can. The thing that distinguishes the DIESES restaurant from most others in this section is their real hospitality. I don't feel like a number here. They patiently answered all our questions and made us feel very comfortable trying a kitchen with which we were not yet familiar. My dad is a hard sale, so if you feel welcome and feel comfortable, you are a winner in my book. Else, I'd hear it for days! Ai-ya! If you eat here, be ready to forget about utensils and eat bread with your inerja with your fingers to shovel your food. I don't care about the Inerja bread alone, but together with her spreads is divine! The dishes on which the food is served are quite large and take up most of your tables so that the scooping with inerja bread is very practical. But the staff will bring you additional plates and utensils on your request. As an Ethiopian restaurant, it is strange that they do not wear an Ethiopian beer that is well used right next door in a sunglass shop with a type of 7-11. But Little Ethiopia was very cool and let me bring the beer in to enjoy her food. The prices are very reasonable for any dish, but because I like to try a variety of 2-3 dishes to bring a friend or two together is ideal. I can't eat it alone. Parking is quite easy on Sunday, as the restrictions/meters do not apply on Sunday. No parking or parking available, only street parking. They take reservations and are great when they work with big parties. They set up a special table section for a group I once hosted. In any case, give this place an attempt. You will be pleasantly surprised."
