"We ordered a mixed Asian meal thru MenuLog. Without any doubt it was the most dreadful Asian we've ever had the misfortune to pay for. Every dish (beef rendang, green chicken curry, crispy with chilli sauce (plus some satay sticks and samosas tasted like a muted version of the dish they should be. For some reason they add some sort of thickening agent to the food which makes it gluggy and destroys the flavours to the point you can barely taste it. The meat in the beef rendang was very fatty. The so called chicken in the curry was reconstituted chicken or something, not fresh chicken. There were virtually no vegetables in the food. We threw most of it out, it was close to inedible. DO NOT buy from this restaurant, you will waste your money. We've eaten a lot of Asian food over the years and this is in a league of its own for bad."

"Went there and try when they first opened, it was better. Last week, went there , the waiter incorrectly ordered the wrong food for us even the fact that I confirmed with him twice. When he placed the food on our table , he realised he made a mistake , however , he didn't want to do anything but force us to keep the wrong order. All dishes were soaked in oil and salt. Not worth the expense price. Couldn't keep the original level anymore. Won't go again."

"A nice selection of Southeast Asian foods from Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Overall taste lends itself to Singapore and Malaysia though even for Indonesian menu items.Nice flavors, spice level definitely catering to the non-SE Asian palate as I could have used more hotness (they offered to bring some extra condiments to assist with this.)Generous, large prawns in the laksa dish my wife had.Service was prompt and attentive.For those who are interested, the restaurant also claims to be halal."

"Mix up with another group made the team have to change the tables around. It was a busy night so service for ordering the food took an hour then the starters came out at different times so of which were after others had finished theirs. The main courses also took a while. The food was good and hot so no issues with that. The staff were polite and apologetic about the situation and gave us a discount for this. I have been before and Xen are known for quick service so I would still go back in the future. I think it was just a bad night."

"I pretty much come here every day to eat my favorite salad (and the occasional sandwich) and I NEVER get sick of it. The food is consistently delicious and fresh and whenever they don't have an item in stock they offer me a free pastry... I also must confess that I consume way more sugar than one human being should, but eating at this fine establishment always makes me feel like the healthiest bish lol... and seriously, ALL of the staff rock. I've never gotten less than awesome service here. Thanks again!"

"Website was easy to use. Placed pickup order and email messages assured order was being made. I picked up the order in 20 mins. Perfect! All food was hot and we'll packed at home. Pad Thai was dry and fairly boring. Satay Club rice was great with a variety of flavors. Green curry was very fresh and flavorful. Prices were on par with this part of DC but maybe a dollar or two higher than I would have liked to pay per dish. We will be back."

"Looking for a beer garden in Hoxton? The roof terrace at the Red Lion, just off Hoxton Square is a nice alternative to other better known venues like Queen of Hoxton. Inside its a bit youth clubby especially the third floor with table a football table, but it's really all about being outside on the roof in summer."
