"Great drinks place and the margarita specially was so delicious. We tried it with another liquor like tequila also made from agave called Mezcal... which has a smoked flavor to it pretty interesting and delicious when mixed with the rest of the ingredients... we had the “on the rocks” since they didn’t have at the moment the frozen one. But I bet the frozen one is as heavenly as this one. Definitely I’ll come back!"

"I always have fun reading restaurant descriptions and choosing where to go on trips. And I'm really happy we went to Nico's. It is a great combination of feeling authentic and having fantastic food. A lot of the well-known restaurants in Mexico City were full...of tourists. Which doesn't bother me that much. But it was nice to go to a different neighborhood to a restaurant whose clientele was mainly Mexican (at least on the night we went there). And the food was stellar. It struck just the right balance between creative execution and the use of local ingredients. For example, we had a tetela made with three different kinds of corn that tasted like earthy maize in a very special way. Our servers didn't speak the best English so sometimes it might be difficult to get thorough explanations of what you're eating if you don't speak Spanish. I speak decent Spanish so it was fine for us. But even if you only have a few nights in Mexico City, I would definitely recommend coming here. It's now at the top of my list of places to go when I visit and I definitely want to go back."
