"We ate here twice whilst staying at Forte do Vale Apartments. Without hesitation this was the best roast shoulder of lamb we have ever had tender, melt in the mouth delicious. The second time we had mixed grilled meats; veal ribs, ribeye steak and pork tenderloin, served with salad and chips. The taste of the meat was out of this world and the simple accompaniments just highlight how good the meat is. We also had oven baked cheese to start and Convent Pudding (a very upmarket bread pudding! for desert. The staff are welcoming and friendly and I am at a loss to understand why the Palacete next door is packed yet the Regional isn 't! Don 't just believe us go and try this amazing place for yourselves. First meal of olives bread/2 beers/shoulder of lamb with salad and rice/2 x coffees came to 41 euros. Second visit of olives/bread/2 x fresh orange juice/oven baked cheese/mixed grill with with chips and salad/2 beers/Convent pudding x 1/fresh strawberries x 1/2 x coffees came to 57 euros."
