"The menu is always prix fixe, so call ahead and see if you like what they're serving. In our case, it was ribeye for two, a radicchio salad, and a salted caramel chocolate tart with candied orange peel. As noted by other reviewers, the tipping situation is a little unexpected, but we didn't have an issue as we were so happy with our meal, the server, the quaint atmosphere, and the whole delightful experience. It's a unique adventure out in the middle of nowhere, something that just can't be duplicated easily elsewhere. Plan on the usual tip (15-20% plus another 15% for the hotel and now you've got the right idea. The meal was quite exceptional. The raddichio salad was lightly dressed in a not quite sweet mustardy/balsamic dressing. The ribeye was a perfect medium rare with just the right amount of seasoning. I'm not much of a chocolate person, but, OMG, that chocolate tart! The best dessert I've had in years. The candied orange strip placed on top of the tart could be packaged and sold. They'd get rich, I tell you! The only sour note was the blown toilet wax seal in a bathroom located right next to the entry dining area. The faint smell of urine permeated that first dining room. Fortunately, they sat us in the fireplace room far enough away from the odor. Finally, it's quite a winding drive to get here, and I'm glad we did it--once. Not sure if I'm motivated to hoof it out there anytime again in the near future. Definitely worth the one time effort though."
