"While out sightseeing, friends of mine (locals) took me here for a later afternoon lunch. They thought I would enjoy it because I'm American. Boy were they wrong!They bill themselves as an American style steakhouse. The steaks are hardly "American" style. Steaks are small European sized meat portions. I will say they cooked my steak very well. I like steaks blue-rare and that's what I got. It was most certainly a petit steak however. Probably no more than 6oz. A typical American steakhouse steak, depending on the cut would range between 10-16oz. Some places will go as large as 24oz (which is ridiculous unless it's for two). I have no problem eating like Europeans, I actually love doing what the locals do. But this place bills themselves as an "American" style steakhouse. They are not that at all. They are a European style steak restaurant. Baked potato was dried out too and over cooked. It was also tiny. The size of a seed potato. Overall the customer service was fine and speedy. Not stellar, but okay. The atmosphere was sort of combo New York City / Wild West thing. I know, friggin' weird, right!? I'm surprised they didn't through in a little Hollywood someplace. You know how Americans LOOK like tourist when they wear Lederhosen, even though Germans around then don't look totally natural wearing them? That's what this place reminded me of. It was a German trying to appear American and just not quite hitting the mark. Save the steakhouse experience for your next trip to the US. While in Europe just have the fillet-mignon and forget about the T-bone or rib eye!Afterwards we walked another block or two to a local pub/beer hall and had a great meal of hot Gulasch soup, crusty bread and a beer. THAT is visiting Germany! PROST !"

"Our first visit a year ago had delighted us. This time, a lot was not consistent. the bbq burger patty had a smaller diameter than a beer lid and disappeared under lush salad leaves. Okay, I've ordered him through, maybe the size of it has suffered. the bacon was not chess, rather completely soft as rubber. unfortunately not mine. the pommes were ok, but the ketchup, which I have never experienced, almost without taste. we also had an iberico velvet. it was all right."

"The restaurant is a bit far from the city center but you forget this when you arrive. We were first greeted by the valet and then welcomed at the reception. The atmosphere is really nice, no bright light, very cosy. Old pictures of actors or actress of the 40's and 50's are displayed on the wall looks very american) Thousand of empty bottle of red wine are part of the deco as well. (looks very Italian) . The Carte is very rich, we came here for the meat and we were not disappointed at all. great taste, cooked the way we asked/ Of course it's an expensive restaurant, you must count about 250€ for 3 persons depending your choice of food and wine. But no regret at all. We ll be back."
