"We had only one night in lyon and wanted a good restaurant. also we do not eat some of the local delicacies. that was an excellent choice. it was busy, but the service was very good. we enjoyed eating that was cooked and very well presented. it felt at us, as tourist, very French! a local meeting on the neighboring table with a business guest heard us speak English and wondered how we managed to select this jewel."

"I am a bit of a steak affectionado, eating different steaks from around the world. I live in Singapore which has some of the world 's best steaks (imported, of course). But I go to Franklin 's at every opportunity when I 'm in Lyon to eat at...my favorite restaurant. The dry aged ribeye is perfectly cooked (medium rare), well marbled, and neither too dry nor, of course, wet . There are also other fine dishes fish, burgers, etc and one can always make special requests which Franklin 's will pleasantly attempt to accomodate (my friend was vegan, so they made him a nice omlette which wasn 't on the menu). There is always a good selection of starters and sides and desserts, which change from time to time. The location is easily accessible in the centre, and just a few meters from Metro Ampere Victor Hugo. The owner Eric is friendly and welcoming, in French or English."

"Food is really good, very traditional American which is surprising in Lyon. Only complaint is the music, very Texas, redneck country. I think they did play a song named I'm a redneck woman. My suggestion to the owner or staff is to find a better Pandora/Spotify station."
