"The place was very welcoming and relaxing feels to it. The staff worked wonderfully and were very patient and Accommodating with my disable mother. The food was really good, we had a portabello fritters app, and both got steaks. The price is up there so I wouldn't make this a common eating thing. However it's nice to spoil one's self now and than."

"Delicious in every way! Vietnamese food that actually has flavor! Oh goodness and their fried rice with curry is divine. Never really had a favorite place but now I do. Staff on duty, when we went in, were so friendly and so welcoming even my teenager was impressed (this says a lot). The place settings are cozy and the servings are generous. I recommend Ray's place to anyone and everyone!"

"We had the bbq rib with tear beans, a garnel po’boy and the jambalaya. Everything was delicious and the owners and people who work there are very friendly and helpful. bier was also good and don't forget to taste her maismuffins and bred pudding. I recommend this place a lot, plus their new location at 508 w 6th ave. anchorage, ak is great!"

"I honestly prefer not to go here, generally get stuck going when family come from far and need mediocre food. Other than that usually just order fritters to get picked up. Nothing to rave about, but maybe worth going once every two years"

"The food is great, and the dining experience is top-notch. A great selection of drinks, to include Korean Soju which is difficult to find elsewhere.After dinner, step next door for some Cold stone ice cream!Features: The number of tables has been decreased to support social distancing, and screens between tables add to separation. Currently, as of April 12, the revolving sushi bar is not in operation. They still offer full menu service, and all food is prepared at the time of your order.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and Vegan diets are supported.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome, and menu items for the youngsters are available.Parking: Large shared lot in the front.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs, isles are wide, and servers make room for the disabled at the tables.Dietary restrictions: The cooks are happy to assist customers in avoiding allergic items, etc."

"I have not been to other sushi restaurants in Anchorage but this review is compared to other sushi restaurants I have been to outside of Japan. We had the following: Fresh oysters: fresh and tasty with ponzu sauce. sashimi omakase fish was fresh and tasty. The type of fish offered is normal nothing outstanding. Cuts were large compared to most other places, and price was reasonable. It came with a crispy roll. Ok, nothing to get excited over but not bad. We had sushi rice to go with sashimi, but the sushi rice was disappointing... Dry and not tasty. Sukiyaki: this was the most disappointing dish of the night. Not only was the soup not tasty, but the ingredients were off... Bean sprouts and wood fungus in sukiyaki? Tofu was not silken but medium firmness. Missing the raw egg to go along, and the garnishing on the sukiyaki was missing. Large pot though, and the two of us couldn 't finish it. Service was courteous although our server didn 't know the menu in detail. Overall decor of the restaurant is pleasant/subdued but not entirely Japanese. Overall, it 's OK but not 4.5* IMO"

"Had a great mother's day dinner. For appetizers we had different salads and a seafood chowder; all were very nice prepared. For dinner we had Shrimp Grits, beef short ribs and prime rib. More than enough food (to go boxes were required) and, unfortunately, we did not have room for desert. The wine list was nice and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back again!"
