"We went to the White House today. The service was very poor. After over an hour we just about got our main. Roast beef. Beef was nice but vegetables were bearly cooked. We had already complained that we didn’t have our food so after two and a half hours we still didn’t have a dessert we left. I did try to complain but the front of house bar staff were only interested in serving new customers drinks. Our waiter was a young man who would bring food to others and then walk back to the kitchen empty handed when we had plates waiting to be taken. Not his fault, he shouldn’t have been left alone to serve all the tables. Very poor. Great location but we will not be back any time soon. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Sunday Roast"

"Eat regularly from here, takeaway on Feb 13th all good except beef with vegetables dish, tough chewy beef not very pleasant at all. Apart from that all OK, not Zenxi obviously but ok"

"Disappointed with the food. We had Sunday lunch, Pork and Crackling, when the food arrived there was no crackling on the plate or veg with the dinner, when asked about these items the waiter came out with a dish of veg that was not very hot and also very hard, He stated there was no Crackling. The dish was advertised as Pork and Crackling but we weren't advised of no crackling before being served the dish or offered an alternative."

"We have been there for evening meals, and it was great. However, this time we went for the lunch time set menu. What the don't tell you is its a cheaper price, as for some dishes the portions are half the size. My son had lamb shish and just got 3 or 4 chunks of lamb. £12.95 for 2 courses. With 4 of us, including 3 soft drinks and 1 lager shandy, the bill came to £74 odd which included a £6.70 odd service charge. So would definitely not recommend the lunch time deal, small portions and pricy drinks, pricy lunch."

"Beautiful lunch yesterday at The Cuckoo with my mum and sisters. My first time but not theirs and it lived up to the very high expectations I had, based on their enthusiastic reports of earlier visits. Wonderful setting, very civilised, with exceptional food. Couldn't say much better than that!"

"Normally, we enjoy going here for the happy hour on cocktails for a social with groups of friends. We went yesterday for a 'bottomless brunch '. Prosecco didn 't taste nice; the £6 bottle at Aldi is better. The chicken Chipotle Tacos and a side of French Fries and a Chimichurri sauce was underwhelming, lacking flavour and too small a portion for the price. Service was good but the whole experience was generally low in energy and tired. Went to the Embankment branch the week before and had a totally different experience."

"The barbecue food here is legit. Forget the salty bad reviews They're mad. This barbecue is as good as you can get, certainly in the area anyway my only complaint is the justeat markup. I'll deff be going to eat in one day."
