"Unless you want to wait for a table outside, get there early. It is a very small place with the few tables squished together. The walls are covered with drawings and comments that people write on scraps of the paper tablecloths. All the dishes seem to be with pork. The ossos (bones) are just that bones (not ribs) with meat on them very tasty and be prepared to pick them up to gnaw out the last bit of meat. The ribs come with a big bowl of beans and rice quite tasty. The pork and mushrooms was absolutely wonderful. You can buy wine by the pitcher. A warning the portions are very big, so don't over order. Remember, it is cash only."

"Came at One pm and place was bursting at the seams. After 10 minutes wait, got a table. 10 minutes wait for menue and 10 minutes wait to order. Could see the staff were strugling to remember which order belonged to which table. At 1:30 place was much more quiet and organised. Got our meal and the suckling pig dish of day was superb. Well worth the wait. Better still arrive around two in the afternoon and avoid the Chaos."

"After reading the reviews on TA, this was very disappointing. Family run place with obviously home cooked Portuguese food. We like local restaurants frequented my locals and this was such a place. No English menu and they don’t really speak English either! It seems like the Pork bones are their signature dish as every table ordered them! I had them and they were very good. However the fish and the chicken were not good at all. A bit overrated in my opinion- unless you like pork bones, don’t go there. The price is low and there are no frills. Cash only"
