"The service was excellent and the food was great. My red pepper soup was probably the best that I have had; the ravioli was cooked to perfection and well-complemented by a gorgeous little boccincini cheese. Two of my companions had the chicken stuffed with spinach and goat cheese and claimed it to be delicious! The Caesar Salad was perfect, the brie in pastry was inhaled (it was that good.) The beef wellington was delightful when it was returned at a proper medium-rare. All four of us elected to have the New York cheese cake enrobed in phylo with a caramel sauce - none were disappointed. Regrettably, the entire evening was ruined, totally destroyed by a large corporate group who were seated at tables for ten and had to yell over each other to converse. This made any attempt at conversation at our table impossible. My friend left with an excruciating headache. The Lodge would be well served by a separate dining-room for large groups (unfortunately, the high ceilings offer the accoustics of a barn) or by seating them at tables for four. I will come back, the resort is fabulous, but I will know to enquire if they are seating a large group for meals. You should too. At the end of the day, had the corporate group not runined our evening, I would have rated this restaurant at a four or five. Unfortunately, as I explained to the manager of the evening, it was one of the worst dining experiences that I have ever had."
