"Yesterday we have been in jackson zand there for years. we waited 15 minutes for placement and they were empty. the eating was terrible calfsalbeere was so hard that you could not cut it. Knock toast was old. Mac cheese was gummy, and the prizes are high. will not go back there"

"The best soul food spot in the Lansing area. I recommend calling ahead for your order. The pork chop dinner, mac and cheese, and cornbread stuffing was delicious. I also tried the peach cobbler but will not get it again the next time I go. The owner was doing it all himself and was very friendly."

"That was our second time to try Smokey Bones, but the first time in 5 years. Beautiful atmosphere, cool interior design. Looks like a great place to sit at the bar or bring the family. Prompt, friendly service also on a Friday night. The ducks were very good overall. The macaroni cheese is nothing special and pretty land of itself (also a little disappointing, but with pulled pork, fried onions and Chipotle BBQ sauce (which was stellar! it definitely improved. And the fried pimples were the BEST we've ever had. In any case, she would order again! It was quite expensive for the somewhat above-average quality, but they served large portions, so we were not surprised. While it won't be one of our top go-to-picks for Date Night, we'll be back sometime."

"The experience at Smokey's has gone downhill drastically. What used to be an amazing gourmet experience has turned into a breakfast buffet that was outdone by shoneys, with a pricetag more in keeping with their old fare. When they changed to a menu instead of the chef prepared buffet, the food took a nosedive. Sad, as this used to be one of the best places to eat in the state."

"I really liked the ribs. Meaty, fall-off-the-bone goodness. Great cheesy potatoes and other sides. The service is awesome. They're always so friendly. The burritos and sandwiches are really good too. I leave full every time."
