"It is some months since we visited the Alrewas Fryer. We had Fish Chips and a Pie with some side sauces. The food and the cooking was superb and the online ordering efficient. Thank you Alex and staff. We will return."

"Had the King Prawn Satay and it was really greasy. Normally, with take-always we save half for the following day, so we did that but the layer of grease on top when left in the fridge overnight was unbelievable. Went straight in the bin."

"Only stopped for 1 quick pint on my way through, but will return. Clean toilets and tidy car park, very welcoming. £4.30 for a pint of strongbow dark fruits, seems a bit pricey, but don't normally drink that when I go to a pub, so it could be the going rate."

"We found this pub surprising busy for a Monday lunchtime, mainly frequented by diners of an older generation. There was a good range of about four ales on the bar. The menu features mainly pub standards but there is also a specials board and it was from this that we selected the Pork Belly a 'go to ' favourite of ours, and it was quite reasonably priced at £12.95. It was served with mashed potatoes and peas now surely the chef could come up with more interesting accompaniments than this. As for the meat, the centrepiece of any good pork belly is a crispy skin and the skin on this was certainly not crispy; indeed not eatable. The pork was okay but not the tenderest ever. Personally I would prefer to have paid a bit more for something more appealing. Service was quite efficient but a smile or two from the staff wouldn 't go amiss. Overall opinion of this pub? Well, being so busy on a Monday lunchtime must say something, but personally I found the place very average."

"The food was great as always. The staff were lovely and very efficient. The only downside was the noise level. We were upstairs, and the acoustics are such that the four of us ended up shouting at each other across the table! Would definitely recommend, unless you want a quiet, romantic meal! Vegetarian options: There are limited vegetarian options available. Service: Dine in"
