"Probably the best service in a pub I have had whilst watching the rugby, excellent bar service and the lady in charge offers us the TV in the Den even using her own phone to stream the game when the bar got too busy. This was customer service in the extreme and hats off to a very hard working team. Will definitely be back."

"What a lovely place . We were staying round the corner in a b b so a nice little walk for an evening meal and drinkipoo. Food was really nice we both had the chef's special pie with mash and cabbage absolutely fabulous good portion size and very tasty. Staff were really nice and attentive fab place all round."

"This chinese is very very rude: The food is average but their attitude and their ability to scam customers is overwhelming. Firstly they demand that if you pay by card you must come and get it in person. “If pay card must see card” secondly they add a charge which for using a card which had been illegal for several years. When questioned the guy told us “fine no pay charge” and told the guy cooking to “make small portions, very small, he has no cash” quite loudly and vocally. When they passed the food he told us “next time only cash you bring money” whilst pointing at the door. If they cant make a profit they need to re evaluate their life choices. Not illegally charge customers and rant and rave. Referred to trading standards. Obviously a cash heavy income which neither makes it to the bank nor the taxman."

"Several interesting decisions on the new menu. I have the vegan burger, the cook salad with courgette and Harissa-skewers, and the cakes and chips. All are very good. You need to ask for the vegan menu as not all options are listed in the main menu."

"The pub is it really needs help. Old bits of chip board and stuff by the entrance! Come on some pots of bedding plants can be bought to cheer up the entrance and all the rubbish removed. The inside,dark,old furniture,ancient carpet but a lick of grey paint on the walls ,choose some lighter colours,some nice pictures,get rid of all the rubbish add some cosy baskets full of lap rugs,easy little investment and we would recommend it to all our friends,we are fairly local! They made us a ploughman’s,wonderful,the staff very friendly this could be a jem,as it is we won’t return,it’s not quaint inside it’s scary."

"We found this pub on our way home, we stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat and I'm so glad we did. What a little gem. All the staff were very friendly and more than happy to help. We met the owner Mark, again he went out of his way to make our visit memorable. We will definitely be back soon"
