"World 's Best BBQ Bar Nunn. I 've had BBQ from The Carolinas to Kansas City. The best, the absolute best slow cooked smoked meat in the entire world can be found in Owensboro, Kentucky at Old Hickory. The atmosphere is terrific, it 's a very cozy place to dine, almost like you were back in your Grandmother 's kitchen. And the food, my Lord, food just doesn 't get any better than that..."

"We are crossing the country, and stopped Owensboro just for Moonlight BBQ. So glad we did! Seems like packed with many local regulars but they are very welcoming to tourists like us : Of course mutton and BBQ are great! They have a souvenir sections, if you wanna taste their soup and source at home. Must stop if you plan to come the area!"

"Our local Friday 's is a great choice for a quick lunch. The service is always speedy and the food is delicious. After a recent remodel, the dining area looks great a far cry from the dark, bar like feeling that the restaurant had before. My only complaint is finding a couple of menu items that are a little more healthy than the usual fare. I did try out their grilled chicken sandwich 'greenstyle ' and paired it with steamed veggies, but there wasn 't much else to really choose from. If I were looking for a more healthy meal, I likely wouldn 't choose Friday 's."

"What a great experience! If you leave hungry? That's your fault because the serving sizes are huge. Our wait staff, Ms. Morgan, was exceptional and our food was out super fast too. She checked back often to see if we needed anything and if our food was prepared the way we liked it. This was a very nice and unexpected treat of a meal as I'd never been here before, but I can tell you this for sure, I'll DEFINITELY be back again. Thank you Longhorn Steak House for the awesome food and experience! "

"If you love family owned/operated, authentic, stick to your ribs food this is your place. If you love anything nostalgic, memorabilia, military, movie related this is also your place! Side note featured on American Pickers just a yr or so ago. The people are homegrown, friendly, call you by your given name or names like “Honey”, “Baby”, and other such terms of endearment. The chicken is better than your momma used to make, hot fresh donuts and country ham it’s reasonably priced for the experience! Open only on Sunday so get there while you can! Nothing on the menu that isn’t steeped in southern fried tradition hospitality is FREE!"

"The food was average for a buffet and the staff was all polite. Our personal waitress was excellent and made sure our drinks were full. The issue I had was the dishes. Most of the plates had food particles left from the washing process. Picking up a bowl in the rack resulted in a sticky residue being transferred to my own hand. I don't often care about the little things because stuff happens and sometimes dishes don't get clean, but this was excessive. Finding a clean dish shouldn't be difficult in a restaurant which has racks specifically for clean dishes. I always give restaurants two visits before I write them off completely so I will eventually return, but to be honest I'm not sure it will be any time soon. Hopefully whoever is in charge of dishes gets their act together in the near future. Will update when I return."
