"We happened to pass by this restaurant and were hungry so stopped to eat there. The service was extremely friendly the food was superb. The Ribs were delicious and other choices were great as well. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for...local eating experience!"

"We are a family of five (10, 7, 2 yo's) and we're looking for a nice dinner out. We heard of a restaurant in the woods from fellow travelers and after looking around found the Sattelbauer. What a find!!Firstly, the drive to the restaurant is up a winding road in the middle of a forest (great buildup!) and once you are up at the top, the entire Flachau valley is spread below. There's a children's playground and a small petting zoo outside, but as it was a little chilly we opted to sit inside. The inside was nice and warm with an authentic rustic decor. The menu was only in German but our waitress was extremely pleasant and patient and explained everything in English (I forgot her name... Sorry!). Her recommendations were spot on and the dinner was delicious. The younger kids had chicken nuggets with fries while I had the venison dumplings (delicious!!), my wife had a grilled trio of pork, chicken and veal (delicious!!) and my oldest had classic Wiener schnitzel (delicious!!). The dinner was perfect! The bill was 75 EUR and included a round of drinks (beer for me), desert and coffee. If you are in the area, you have to eat here!"

"Location of the local is quite hidden, at the end of old market on a camping site. we have eaten Styrian antipasti as an appetizer (various sausage and cheese varieties) and as a main course youngschweinbratl and ripperl. size rather for men;-) and all in all very good, but now also no highlight. who likes to have a hearty kitchen in a rustic ambiente should look in. staff very friendly and attentive."
