"Our party of have just had a meal at the Beefeater at Southcote and it was very disappointing and not of its usually high standard. Firstly our drinks took a very long time to arrive, The Gin and tonic was so watered down that it took attempts to get one that at least had some taste. I ordered a jacket potatoe with my main corse and then about minutes later Zia was informed that they had none and I reluctantly had to settle for chips. The steaks were not the best and was not cooked as requested. I asked for medium but it was nearer to well done. I then ordered Sticky Toffe pudding ice cream sundae only to be told this was being taken off the menu next week and was no longer available. Why wasn’t I toldt t this was not available when given the menus. The coffees arrived without milk and this too took quite awhile to be brought to the table. A very dissapointing experience. I don’t think I will be visiting again any time soon."

"Shocking really, all the food we ordered was very bland, hardly any flavour at all, the beef in all the dishes had been cooked in water (no colour) or flavour and the chicken balls made with pre cooked chicken resulting in dry chicken and again under seasoned and bland. The whole meal Taste like a home cook trying to cook Chinese takeaway. Nothing tasted fresh. Overall none of our order was good and we won’t be returning."
