"My friend, Mr. P, recommended the Korea House for dinner. He chooses this place as opposed to other nearby Korean BBQ places, as the Korea House lets you select from the menu what you want. Other places in the area, do not give this option – they will bring you their great first record that contains everything. As Mr P said, “I want to have my Beef Tongue first before I have to have the other stuff (that I don’t want to first)”. I think most non-Korean people like and/or accept that Korean BBQ SHOULD AYCE. Koreans would probably have the idea that people think that Korean cuisine is AYCE Korean BBQ and kimchi. Anyway, I know a pretty good Korean BBQ that's not good – like Sut Bull Jeep, Chosun, Honey Pig and DGM, but I'll save it later. For the longest time, and perhaps because I think Korean cuisine is not as tastefully diverse as Chinese, I could order better in Korea that I could in Chinese. Since I had several Korean friends and worked years ago in K city, I had learned how to order, in my humble opinion quite well. Chinese food on the other hand is more difficult, with the variety of food from various provinces. Whatever. As I mentioned earlier, Mr. P had to have this Beef Tongue. The thin cut beef tongue is desired by many Chinese, but not necessarily the non-Korean or the inexperienced. The beef tongue has similar texture to other parts of the cow, but is more evenly marbled with fat, offers great taste. Together with cattle tongue, we had spicy pigs, beef substitute ribs, soup and shrimp. I never had shrimps, nor a big fan of the cancer class. But this shrimp, marinated with ginger, was excellent. First, when you see the raw shrimps, still with the bowl, peeling makes it look a little intimidating. Work on the bowl – hot from the grill, was not funny at first. But after Mr. P disappeared his first 20, I decided to try a little one. It was really good. The ginger flavor kept it a little more than just savory, with a hint of sweetness coming through. Lucky for me, after my first, I could have the last couple. But as expected, as I left, I had embedded the stall of the restaurant in my clothes. But was it worth it?. Yeah."

"I don't come here often because it's pretty far from me, but I've noticed it getting busier and busier every time I visit, and with good reason! I always get their galbi, it's mouthwatering good! Normally, I get it as a combo, which includes any normal sized tofu soup, but the portion of the meat is smaller. I've tried a couple of their other items too and they didn't disappoint. The sides are good and the service is good too. There's plenty of indoor seating and parking, making this restaurant an easy choice if you're craving Korean food."

"Love love this restaurant so much! It's like my consolation. This restaurant discovered years ago, told my friends about it, and they went crazy about it also HAHA Chinese dry pot is probably one of my weaknesses in life because I cannot resist when I see a Chinese dry pot #hehe. I have tried several dry pot restaurants and Qiwei is so far the best and most authentic I always go with the BEEF dry pot with the ORIGINAL SPICY SAUCE and then I add my fav add-ons; Lunch meat, wide Vermicelli noodles, and mushrooms. NOTE ADD TOO MUCH Adding more add-ons does not mean more portions, they are actually less and less of everything. The pot itself already comes with a generous amount of potato, cauliflower, celery and bean spices. Cant wait to go backkk"

"We were there for a group dinner and the experience left much to be desired. It being in a very busy part of town with ethnic restaurants all around, the air full of stinky tofu smells, it was a bad start already. I promise you, you will leave there stinking of grease. The other awful aspect was the poor ventilation and cooling. Being hot a southern Cali, you expect decent a/c and ventilation, but either they are cheap or it was broken, but the whole restaurant was just hot hot hot. The food, a variety of plates, was edible. We had too many dishes to list, but only a few of them stood out. The dessert of fried pastry filled with red bean was very good. The stir fried shrimp plate was good as well. The rest of the meal was forgettable. Notable: the place was busy the whole 2 hours we were there. Maybe that speaks for itself? Busy with Chinese people so maybe a good sign? Personally I would not return. There are cleaner and airier places in southern Cali to go."

"Reservations aren't require but definitely recommended. I was craving ayce shabu and wanted to venture out for the normal restaurants I usually go to. (Broth Shabu Shabuya) Drove about 35 miles to this location, Upon entering, we were seated in a roomy booth. They offer split pots which I actually prefer because it allows the option of trying multiple flavors. We ordered the following: BROTH (7/10): Tomato Tonkotsu: These were pretty average to say the least. What you would expect and nothing too surprising. MEAT (9/10): Pork shoulder, beef eye of round, beef chuck eye, pork belly, and beef short plate. The meat was fantastic! Just the perfect amount of fattiness and it tasted more on the fresh side instead the frozen. SALAD BAR (5/10): The salad bar is very underwhelming. They didn't offer quite the same amount as most of the ayce places I normally go to. SAUCE (5/10): Also underwhelming. We had to request ponzu and goma sauces from our server directly and they were being pretty stingy with the sauces. I asked for an extra bottle our table and the server had stated that if I wanted more, he'll bring the additional bottle out after I finish the new one. I was only trying to save the server a second trip. Overall, I wouldn't make the trip back to this spot. Besides the meat, the broth and sauces were very mediocre and he service wasn't the great. They do offer an all you can drink option with boba but we were too full to give that a shot. Dinner was $34.95 pp and they do add an automatic gratuity onto your tab."

"Great first time here , had a table for 12 people and had the best servers. Jolyn and Gio. Read the reviews and wasn't sure what to expect. All i can say is food and service is very much worth it and we had a great time. So glad we tried it and we'll definitely be returning. The wait was not too long , we were sat down immediately as our entire party arrived and we were given great recommendations on what to try and order."
