"On Yuen is our go to place for Chinese food. We have e tried others in the Fleetwood area but always go back here. Love the Foo yung, fried rice and chow mein. If you are feeling adventurous, try the spicy squid."

"Love the dinner for one combos. The breaded almond chicken is really good and not greasy like some places. They also use actual crushed almonds and not peanuts. I always recommend Lucky Horse to anyone looking for Chinese food in the newton area."

"This is an old style Chinese restaurant run by two gentlemen. One mans the front and one in the back. At lunch everyone seems to order from the lunch board. You pick from a number of different options. The chow mein and fried rice are quite decent. It's very homestyle Chinese something you would cook at home. Almost no oil at all. Interestingly, our group ordered a mix of chicken chow mein and BBQ pork chow mein it all came out as chicken. All of the other items on the menu are deep fried. Likely prefrozen and thrown in the deep fryer during lunch. Fried items are decent and not super oily. However, I would not say tastes fresh."

".. revisit.. ,, Oriental Buffet,,.. not gourmet food... but adequate .. This Buffet has the typical offerings, sushi, wonton soup, sweet and sour soup, chow mein, fried rice, bean bean chicken, small cut pork ribs, fried drumsticks, assorted vegetables, fried smelts, fried fish, dim sum, tater tots, french fries, egg foo yung, shanghai noodles, salad offerings, crystal prawns, assorted cakes, cookies, cut fruits, and ice cream for dessert. They use to offer a BBQ station (at lunch) where you can grill some beef short ribs (maui cut) and pork,,but those days have past. The Oriental Buffet 'opens ' at 11am, but they were still setting up the Buffet until close to 1130am. Usually, large groups, even bus tours arrive at 12-ish and truck drivers, deliverymen, businessmen and groups of seniors compose the mix at lunch time. A better option may be the Korean BBQ/Buffet across the street in the strip mall. There you can select the raw ingredients for a table-top (hot stove) cooking experience! And other Buffet offerings as well. There are many eating options in this area... maybe the time has past for the Oriental Buffet! Adequate .. but stuck in the past!"

"Fantastic Neighbourhood Restaurant. Love, love, just absolutely love this restaurant!!! <br/>This is the 'go to ' restaurant in our neighbourhood the menu is wonderful and the service..... especially when provided by the owner, Vic, outstanding. <br/>I take all our visitors to this small family run restaurant on Fraser Highway in Fleetwood. I have friends up north who prize their visits to the LMD for the night out with family and friends at Assinis.<br/>This restaurant has been around a long time; first on 96th, when you would be lucky to get a seat because all the Surrey RCMP cops were having their meal break there ....<br/>This longevity is a sign .... this neighbourhod establishment ROCKS!"

"Worst service, forgot our appetizer, never refilled our drinks. Charge me for extra tzatziki which surprised me. I just thought with all her mistakes she would if offered that. The food was just ok. Will not go back."

"I’ve been to numerous Pho restaurants over the years and this place is one of the worst I’ve dined at, not to mention grimy. The food (pork chop rice dishes, bun bo hue, Pho) was bland, not at all representative of the bold flavors and spices of the Vietnamese cuisine. Also, this restaurant only accepts cash."

"Fantastic place for warm comforting food- Vietnamese style. My friend I ventured into this pleasant (courteous service) restaurant ordered a couple of steaming hot bowls of pho. It really hit the spot warmed our fingers belly on a dark cold night. My friend had not tried the green papaya salad before, so we ordered that too. Good but it was ok as to my previous experiences at other places (hence the 4 stars). However the springrolls compensated for that dish. They were longer yummier than other Pho restaurants. Kudos for that. Parking is abundant, no worries in that dept. Great place to have a meal. Definitely coming back!"
