"After being away for a few years, it was good to return to Thanh Van. Michael is still serving up some great Chinese/Asian food. The best thing is that he uses fresh vegetables that still have some crunch in them when you get your meal. The portions are great and there's no way you could leave there hungry. The two waitresses have both been there for many years (hello Glenda! and provide great service."

"On a hot and sunny evening, we stopped at the River for supper. We were lucky enough to get a seat on the patio overlooking the Meduxnekeag River. Even with the umbrella up we were pretty much in full sun and baking hot. We both ordered the ubiquitous River burger and sweet potato fries along with iced tea. Despite being busy service was efficient and friendly, our burgers arrived in good time. The burgers themselves were juicy and tasty, no complaints. The sweet potato fries came with what I assume was Sriracha Mayo and both were delicious. Not gourmet food but good reliable pub grub and certainly worth another visit."

"After reading all the glowing reviews on here, I was disappointed with our dining experience. Service was very poor, only 3 tables were occupied, yet we were seated right by the kitchen and takeout area. We were left sitting for ten minutes before being asked about our order or even drinks. After our order went in, we opted to move tables. When food arrived, we got our rice dish and nothing else for another 10 minutes. Eventually the rest of our food arrived.Food quality was mediocre at best.I'll we ordered 5 dishes, ate most of everything, but still left hungry.I will not be returning."
