"The boys at Bakhan strike again!!!!! The food is to die for in this joint. Hands down the best Kurdish restaurant in South London if not London. The lamb kozi just melts in your mouth and the rice is just pillowly soft, perfection! The team here is just amazing and so hospitable. The environment is rustic and clean and reminds me of a time gone by. Trust me people if you want amazing food come to this place, you will be licking your fingers and leave with new memories and a new place you can count on for great food! Bakhan never dissapoints!!! Top tips: Ask the Shaam and Shwan the Chef for recommendations, they are honest and will give you the best. Try the shwarmas, the salad here is tasty and fresh. The tea is great.. add some sugar."

"Okay, let me start by saying, this is the Indian restaurant takeaway of the future. There is no need to go to any other Croydon takeaway restaurant or any in surrounding areas. Zaffron is the best. End of story. You know when you eat food until you're full but you want to carry on eating because the flavours are just popping off in your mouth? Well, that's Zaffron and whoever they've got in the kitchen down there calling themselves chefs, they're not chefs, they're superstars...full stop. Next I'd like to say, I woke up in the morning and there were some leftovers and I wanted to eat them for my breakfast. But I thought, you know what, let me just exercise a little bit of self-discipline and have an early lunch. So I drank a cup of tea. Ordered Prawn Poori, Angara, Farcha, Pilau Rice and Plain Poppadoms"

"Rios piri piri croydon large square for chicken lover and grilled meat simple place with casual sitting ambiance 3/5 nothing much to talk about casual sitting place with a seat fr 40 strange. a lot enough lights eat -4/5 eating here is really well tried the grilled chicken and chips the grilled chicken is well marinated and cooked for perfection the spices are exactly right the chips are fresh and crispy then comes chicken rice surprisingly worth giving him an attempt to give the rice with simple taste carved and grilled a bit more"

"We discovered this restaurant about 20 years ago when we were newly married. Back then I will admit it was quite a bit cheaper than it is now but the quality is just as good and they have drastically improved the decor. It was so good we would go there every single week for absolutely years. It is still just as good it’s just that I’ve had so many Mazis that I have to limit myself now! They do fantastic “daily-dishes“ which are probably more cost-effective and if you want to eat cheaply you can share one. You can also ask for an “mixed –dish“ which is a bit bigger (Being a bit of everything from their daily dishes) and lends itself better to sharing. If you do that I think you can get the whole thing for £10 meaning that you’ve eaten for £5 each for two people. If you want to spend more you certainly can by ordering the grilled meats. I usually order all my food with couscus only (not rice) which is the large-grained Bulgar wheat. If you don’t stipulate that they will give you rice and couscus but rice is a bit boring. Also yummy are they thin pizza-like things not the full on pizzas but the very thin ones and I forgotten the name of them but they’re cheap and extremely yummy. If you feel like splashing the cash you can order a Mazis special. The other great thing is the lamb soup for the lentil soup that the lamb soup is so full of meat and it’s a real meal in itself"
