"I am family member of locals and visited this popular restaurant which has been active for the past 55 years. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely bad. We arrived at 13:40 and we had pur food served at 14:30. Other tables were served before us, despite ordering the same food. One of our dishes was veal with fries and rice, however the meat was raw and the potatoes were cold. The seafood rice was OK, but lacked seasoning, plus there was a lot of liquid and not enough rice. We politelyasked to speak to a manager and our request was refused. In the end, it was EUR 46,based on local prices, it was not value for money. For any tourists in the area, please avoid this restaurant. There is a restaurant next door called os Melinhos which is much better. Ither great places are cabana and baliza ."

"We had an extremely pleasant lunch, sat outside in a busy part of town but with a very relaxed feel. We had excellent chicken and sea bass, but I made the mistake of asking for chips and got crisps instead! (My fault) The food...was well cooked and the waiter was excellent throughout."
