"Called here for lunch filling a visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Ordered 2 club sandwiches. After waiting half an hour, I checked with one of the waiters if our order had gone through. Sandwiches arrived shortly after lukewarm as though they had been...left unattended- the place wasn’t overly busy and there were several staff. My sandwich contained a fried egg, a small piece of fried breadcrumbed chicken and a small quantity of avocado on 3 huge slices of bread; my husband’s sandwich was similar but without the egg. The cost just for the 2 sandwiches including 12.5% tip was £30+. We travel a lot and have had a few poor experiences as well as many fabulous dining experiences but this was something else! Fortunately we dined in 8 places overall during our stay in London and 6 of the 7 others were good with 3 outstanding experiences. The problem is you can’t tell until you’ve tried sometimes. Enjoy spending our money."

"On a drizzly morning, we found shelter in the cozy confines of Caffe Concerto in Covent Garden. With its elegant interiors and inviting warmth, it seemed like the perfect spot to brighten our day. Yet, our initial experience left something to be desired. The pastries, though presented beautifully, missed the mark on flavor, and the coffee – oh, how it pained us – was simply undrinkable. The lone saving grace? A stack of pancakes that promised a glimmer of hope. Fast forward to another rainy day, but this time in the afternoon. With the memory of our prior visit fresh in our minds, we debated whether to give Caffe Concerto another shot. Taking a leap of faith, we stepped in, only to be met with a bustling crowd. Surprisingly, the packed venue didn't hinder the service. The staff was on their A-game, navigating the sea of patrons with impressive efficiency. Now, onto the food. This round was a stark contrast to our breakfast misadventure. Every dish we tried was a fresh and flavorful delight, making us question if our initial visit was just a fluke or if they've significantly upped their game. It's only fair to share the complete picture – the good with the not-so-good. Caffe Concerto, you've shown us that everyone deserves a second chance. So, if you're in Covent Garden and find yourself caught in London's classic drizzle, consider popping into this cafe. Just remember to skip breakfast and head straight for lunch!"

"Service was very polite and friendly, but, extremely slow. When I arrived they told me I didn't have a booking and couldn't find us on their list. Food was very slow to arrive and below average, cocktails were worse than that being flat with melted ice (when served). I had trouble getting anyone's attention and after 90 minutes of being there we had to rush our main courses and skip desert just to get out to catch our show. I had to ask the waitress twice for the bill, the second time because instead of getting the bill straight away, she went to clear tables. Luckily our show was amazing and we laughed off the experience. Caffe Concerto looked great, but was not busy so as to warrant the really inattentive service."

"Would be recommended only cautiously because of the food and preparation. unfriendly, cold staff with service that borders on indifference (at best) to hostility (at worst case). the type of employment where they seem reluctant they are only slightly heated when we pay and leave. if a tip was released, would have left nothing, but unfortunately it was mandatory. will not return to the future."
