"I only found this upstairs restaurant, with no street level frontage, due to a small sign. And happy that I did. Walking up the narrow, winding stairs to this first floor restaurant, I felt I was in one of the oldest buildings in the city,...and indeed the restaurant itself consisted of a number of small low ceilinged rooms. Definitely cozy. I took a dish from the lunch menu of the day, rigatoni with swordfish sauce. Being so far from the sea, in a city where there is a dearth of fresh seafood restaurants, I did not have the highest expectations. What a pleasant surprise, it was excellent. A good sized portion, swiftly served, and for the location, Stuttgart centre, Calwer Strasse, very reasonable value. The only slight disappointment was the inclusive salad. This was rather more typically German style than Italian, with tinned sweetcorn in it, catering a little too much to local tastes? But a good meal, I will surely be back there. Especially as I noticed Dover sole, a real rarity here, on the a la carte menu"

"Very warm welcome no reservation necessary the three we went there it was very bush but they always find a table for us. Very good choices of meals very well cooked with hearty dishes. Large choices of drinks especially local beurs (we appreciated the winter beer). The prices are reasonable. The staff is very kind and professional. Next time in stuttgart we know where to go for dinner"

"Wir waren zu viert essen. Der Belag auf unsere Pizza Hawaii und Pizza Salami war reichlich und sehr schmackhaft. Die Piccata Milanese zart und die Spaghetti al dente. Auch bei den Rigatoni al Forno gab es nichts zu meckern. Die Bedienung war freundlich und schnell. Was will man mehr in einer weitläufigen Außengastronomie? Und der Blick auf das neue Schloss und den zwei Brunnen spricht für sich."

"I was shopping at Cannstatter Carre this afternoon. I took my lunch at the pizzico. The salad was fresh, the ordered Rigatoni were al dente, the Bolognese sauce with peas was very tasty cooked and well seasoned. The service was flott and friendly"
