"We dropped in on our way back from Sunshine Coast to Brisbane. Great spot just by the protected beach area. We walked in pretty much on opening time and it was not trouble at all. Food arrived quickly, from friendly staff. Burgers were GREAT! Kids' meals were good too. We went on a Friday, when they hold 'Burger Mania' (any of their burgers - chicken, fish, beef or veggie) with chips for $10 and it was well worth it. They have a great kids' menu, happy for you to have water at your table and even gave the kids pencils and paper to use whilst waiting for their food. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!"

"We are locals for whom this was our favourite Chinese takeaway. Both our meals were flavourless and overloaded with veggies. We needed to add sauces to get flavour. Considering the additional price increase and the deterioration in flavours we will not be back"

"It's a small and cosy little restaurant with lovely decor. I ordered the pho (traditional authentic dish). I had better to be honest. The beef was tough, the soup was way too sweet and not clear. It was $17, you can get much better for $12 or $13 in Cabramatta NSW. My husband (Australian) can cook much better than this."

"Twelve months later the coffee is still excellent and the sweet muffins sublime. Best muffins in Caloundra and surrounds. Iced coffee excellent, service excellent as were the cappuccinos, latte and berry smoothie. Worth the walk from Caloundra."

"This unpretentious Thai restaurant tucked away in the little shopping centre on Parklands Boulevard produces consistently delicious, fresh, tasty meals for lunch and dinner. We are fortunate enough to live nearby and have never been disappointed with our meals. The service is exceptional - Sum and Michael and their staff go out of their way to ensure that there is a warm greeting when you arrive and that attention to detail continues throughout your meal without being over-bearing.Serving sizes are generous and the menu includes blackboard specials which change regularly. My husband chose the Pork Belly from the specials menu last night which was declared absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of heat. Vegetarian tastes are well catered for and I enjoyed a superb stir fry with delicious, fresh, seasonal veggies as well as tofu (optional) and a good amount of chilli. The coconut rice was gorgeous and made a lovely change from our usual selection of steamed jasmin rice. We also enjoyed starters of curry puffs and spring rolls, both of which are made on the premises.Whatever your choice, authentic curries, soups, stir fries, noodle dishes, Thai salads or specials from the board, I'm sure you will find that your taste buds will be singing by the time you leave.Sum Thai is BYO, with a good selection of soft drinks available and a Bottle Shop just a few doors away. They also do take away meals and throughout the evening there is a steady stream of customers collecting meals, but I am glad to say that this doesn't affect the quality of service offered to those dining in. Highly recommended."

"The food is definitely pre-cooked and microwaved. It is the worst Thai that I have had yet. I would recommend the frozen food section in Woolworths over this place. If you want any heat to your meal, they will provide you with a bowl of chopped chilli on the side "

"Went for lunch with a mate, plenty of spare tables when we were there, but quickly filled up. Service was great and very friendly staff. Ordered 2 burgers and 2 beers. Both burgers were great and beers nice and cold. Good location and will visit again."
