"We had a couple of hours and thought we would have dinner, having looked at the menu we chose the contoir des marais. We arrived at 6.50 pm, We were told that there were no outside tables were available, okay, so, we had an inside booth by the time we left at 8.20pm no-one had arrived at said empty tables. It took an age for someone to take our order, so chose not to have an apero! We ordered a shared mixed charcuterie and fromage pIatter, in honesty, it was tasty. We then ordered mains. I had smoked salmon salad, husband ordered jambon grillé. Husband's food was again, tasty. The salad on the other hand...... It was, by far, the worst salad I have ever eaten. Pluses... plenty of salmon, lettuce was nice, tomatoes what there was, were okay too. Negatives... pre-prepared and left in the fridge, so too cold, tiny salad no dressing), very few tomato cubes, asparagus was from a jar and was so soggy it bent over my fork when i lifted it, potatoes were from a tin and wet and tasteless, toast was from a cheap sliced loaf. It all arrived in a breakfast bowl. When asked, i explained that I was unhappy, but they just dismissed me. I have been to this restaurant before and have had a pleasant meal, Maybe it is just the salads that are terrible. But sadly, this has put me off going again.!"

"Easy to spot this orange building on the harbour front. We were slightly put off as the place was empty, not usually a good sign, but a charming young man came out and did quite a good job of translating the menu so, we ventured in. He took us upstairs, a stair-lift for the less able was a surprise, to where the people eat (downstiars is a bar). The restaurant is lovely. A wood fire, that they actually cook the steaks on, and a lovely view over the port. Food was very good. Had pommeau as an aperitif and the menu of the day All with excellent service and at a reasonable price €41.70 for the 2 of us, including wine & coffee."
