"I kept my wedding here. The place is beautiful and includes many accommodation. The food was delicious. The staff is also friendly. Unfortunately, my wedding didn't go as well as I expected because I got an email 2 days before my big event in which I was told that the wedding coordinator couldn't make it my wedding because she got Covid. These things happen naturally. I was really worried about my big day after this news, but she assured me I was in good hands. Unfortunately, that was not quite the case. The day before my wedding, when my family and I arrived, there was a lot of confusion about which rooms my family would stay, even though they were reserved a bit before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, the employees who now coordinate my wedding were very disorganized and not aware that all that was that on the day unfortunately due to lack of communication with the wedding coordinator and because leadership was lacking. My middle pieces never made it to the guest tables, the entrance tables or the wedding couple tables. Two dozen rose petals were bought to be blown over the tables that have not happened and they have never left the fridge. The flowers were one of the most important and expensive aspects of my wedding for me and I stressed this to the coordinator so that I am upset about it is understandable. A refund for all flowers has not been offered, they simply delivered them to my honeymoon area the next day with an apology. I do not leave this informative review to place any negativity on Friends Lake Inn. There were many beautiful weddings here, but unfortunately, mine didn't go as planned. Unfortunately, the young lady who was placed responsible for coordinating the wedding on the wedding day was nowhere to find until about half an hour before the event, so my husband had to run around like a chicken with his head lacking trying to tell people where to go and what to do until the bride was ready. That wasn't my husband's responsibility. I informed Friends Lake Inn about why I was upset about my wedding, and I talked to the owner and he offered me a free night to stay at Friends Lake Inn and asked me to make me happy? It was a very nice offer and I took it because it was again a nice place to stay and very accommodating. Unfortunately, it does not remove the past. I sincerely hope that this will not happen to any other couple, which is another reason why I decided to publish this review. The owner asked me to leave a good review after he offered me a free night stay at the Inn and I believe that a true review is exactly that. Remember, we're still in the middle of a pandemic. If you plan a wedding, you are always very careful at the venue(s) you choose, especially during the pandemic."

"We were in a cabin 10 minutes drive away and booked for Saturday dinner for my wife and I. Only blown away by the quality of food and attentive service in the Bullhouse in beautiful Chestertown, NY. Great food, very fair prices and a great staff made for a wonderful evening. Can you share the recipe for the superfood salad? My wife fell in love and we live 200 miles away."

"I gave it five stars because if you want a Steak Cheese Sub this is the place to go. I've had some pretty bad ones over the years at other places, trust me. I sat at the bar and enjoyed it. The bartender who is my server was very polite, congenial, and attentive. The other clientele seemed very relaxed and pleasant as well and seemed to be having a good time chatting with others and enjoying their meals and/or drinks. There are pool tables in and adjacent room that I assume are for all the guests, as well as regulars for tournaments and so forth. There was a jukebox on the wall that I assume gets the place more festive toward the evening. I was there on the afternoon. I looked over the menu and I really enjoyed what I was seeing. They have a lot of interesting choices. I will be going back!
