"Great place. Fajita quesadillas are absolutely amazing. And $3 margaritas are great. Bodentaco meat was not so good, but everything else was great. If you are not sure what you cannot go wrong with the fajita quesadillas. Got the special for $6 and was a very big part."

"Non-profit (2nd image) wins best hot sandwich in the area hands down. It is a perfect blend of turkey, roast beef, salami, prosciutto, capicola, fontina cheese, Italian dressing, and mustard. The taste is simple. The House Special (1st picture) is also really good and the perfect sandwich for French diving lovers"

"Mi Mexico has been in Clive for a looong time now. I hadn't been there in years, since there are much more convenient options for me where I live. My favorite dining companion though, had never been. We visited for lunch. My dining companion settled on the Camarones a la Diabla, and I went with the lunch portion of chicken fajitas. You of course also get the customary chips and salsa. We always ask for the spicier salsa. Typically this is a roasted Salsa Rojo at most Mexican restaurants. In the case of MI Mexico, it was a roasted Salsa Verde...and boy was it good! Normally Verdes are a bit milder in heat, but not this one. It had a delightful level of heat. We ended up buying a to go portion of it because it was just that good! Back to the entrees. The fajitas were great despite being the smaller lunch portion, it was still a pretty sizable plate of food. The flavor was good, the tortillas were hot and fresh. My favorite dining companion loved her shrimp dish, and took all the leftovers from both our entrees home. We also both got margaritas. I opted for the classic: lime margarita on the rocks. My dining companion opted for a blended peach margarita. Both were very good. I had to get a refill because it just went so well with the meal. Overall I was very happy with Mi Mexico, as was my dining companion. I will have to stop in again soon. I need to try their carnitas, which is another favorite Mexican dish of mine. Highly recommended overall."

"My husband honestly recommended this place for dinner, I thought it was just a bar. To my surprise, it was a really good restaurant. I had the raspberry Jalapeño Margarita, Bousin filled mushrooms, shrimp Charleston with a side salad. Everything was delicious and the service was really good. We will definitely be back."

"Visited on Sunday for dinner. Was our first time there and we were very happy! Much better than the average Des Moines Chinese restaurants. You could see and taste the love that was put into the food. The service was also fantastic. I believe the name of our server was YuPing, and she was great! Other staff also kept our drinks refilled. Definitely will be going back!"
