"Amazing food, superb decor and atmosohere and great service. Great vegan and gluten free menu. They did have a technical glitch which meant we had to wait a long time, but they did everything they could to accommodate us. The food is great.....but it isn't cheap you're kinda buying two main courses because you choose your burger then choose your chips."

"Hidden away down Queen Street, this American style Diner has top quality burgers, friesvand milkshakes... Red and white tiling and visible preparation makes the theatre good... Frequented by students with downstairs dining in, one of my favourites in the City, recommended the salted caramel milkshake! Expensive but very nice!"

"We have dived for the lunch special, which works just under £8 for a main meal and drink. many dishes can be made vegan with the choice of tofu and then one or two are gluten-free. I had the vegan, gluten-free rice with veg and tofu. I could not eat the soy sauce, so I asked about salt and was also offered Sriracha sauce, it took my meal to the next level and was absolutely delicious. the service was excellent, the food bought us very fast and was very tasty. I'm back in definitiw, one of my new favorites in exeter!"

"We have eaten here several times for special occasions. Every visit it was the little things that made it special. When we went there for the first time, we took some animal masks with us (like masked ball masks) and put them on the dessert course. Angela loved it, took a photo and even got Richard and some of the other kitchen staff to see. It makes us unforgettable for them (although I think they remember a lot of their previous customers due to the personal nature of the restaurant) and every visit back they have recognized us and always a little chat. Food excellent, local and fresh. Service excellent and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Not cheap (good thing) and excellent value for money."

"We were disappointed with the menu choice for vegetarians We all had nut roast which was ok but not hot. We weren’t allowed to order Christmas pudding because the waitress had recorded us as choosing from the main menu not the set. Might be different at a quieter time of year but not gastro pub food. Beautiful building and lovely fire."

"Food was lovely but the cost of a cup of tea was £3.50 my friend and I were shocked at this £7 in teas think k this is far to much and you have changed the menu the sandwich used to have chips included now you charge for them feel a bit let down as have been coming for awhile will rethink where we lunch next time"

"It's a lovely pub but if your sat at a table near the men's toilet the smell is very unpleasant we sat by the machine and had to move due to the smell. Which is a real shame as its a nice place."
