"The two of us paid 62 euros for a starter, 2 plates of grilled fish (with garnish) and half a bottle of wine. The staff was friendly, but they didn't seem to understand English. They brought us a different type of wine from the one we pointed at in the menu, so we had to ask them to change it. They immediately tried to convince us to choose the kind of fish from the menu which was sold by kilo (45-48 euros/kilo) and it was a bad decision. The taste was average, but the price was not."

"Food was mediocre. Try and go for the fish and the local cuisine rather than something common like hamburger. Their hamburger doesn’t look like a normal one at all, nor it tastes like it should. Bathrooms are ok, they didn’t have soap and we had to ask them for it. The views from their terrace are amazing!"

"Firstly you need to book a couple of days ahead (maybe more in peak weeks) for the evening as only a dozen or so tables and is very popular. May not be as busy at lunchtimes but would check first. Good range of basic dishes, with some traditional Portuguese dishes and a good choice of homemade desserts. Didn't have our first choice fish dish but second choice of steak was excellent. Portuguese beef steak dish is very similar to a mixed grill and was very tasty. The pork steak with shrimps was very nice (the shrimps were actually shell on prawns) if a little over done for my taste. Service was a little slow and food took a while to arrive but only two waiters for a full restaurant and were very patient and pleasant. Prices good value for money compared to some other local establishments. Well worth a visit if you are passing or staying in Salema and would definitely go book again if staying longer."
