"We really loved this place when we visited the first time, and it was just as fabulous going back. The service was outstanding, I am wheat and dairy intolerant and the waiter was incredibly helpful, his dish recommendations also went down very well with my less awkward dining companions. The cod was wonderful, as were the super-crispy chips and elderflower sorbet"

"The venue was booked for a friends birthday. We booked a booth for a group of ten to have dinner and drinks. After calling several times to confirm our reservation and having being told everything was sorted we arrived to a table that seated only 4 with no other table available. We spoke to a member of staff and was told there was nothing they could do as all the other tables were pre-booked and even the manager told us that some of us would just have to stand and most people stand and eat at their venue. I thought this was ridiculous due to the fact they were serving burgers and other diner style foods. We were also limited to the selection of drinks we were able to purchase in the room we were in and were told we had to go downstairs if we wanted something specific. The food was very average and the room was so cold i kept my coat on all night."

"Came here for coffee and an early holiday wine and had fabulous service. Such a beautiful environment and the courtyard is gorgeous. We didn’t eat here as we had lunch plans but it’s definitely worth coming here for a coffee/wine. Will be back to try the homemade pasta."

"Made a reservation for late lunch and arrived, our table was there. We ordered at the bar and waited for what seemed 30 minutes for a couple of pizzas. After asking, we were told there was a large group and they ordered before us. Maybe so, we didn't see they did and maybe they booked too. Either way, would have been helpful to be told as we had meetings to go back to and the wait meant our lunch was very rushed and we returned late to our work. The other thing that surprised me was that online the price is 9 quid, but I was charged 12!!! No receipt. I said I thought it was 9. I had checked menus before hand. I was impressed with the knowledge of staff when it came to our order and ingredients, and the pizzas were hot and fresh. A little too burnt on the base. Staff were friendly and kind and the atmosphere in the pub lovely. Also a plus that they accept cash. Not happy with the price though."

"This is a great place that is located in a next street between the old street and the liverpool street! they accept my gourmet company card so that I always have 50% of the food, but the worth of the full price eating anyway is exceptional in view of the portions. they can have a large selection of starters for around £4.95 and the net are around £10. Since the starters are so extensive, I usually share about 6/8 of them between two of us and one side of wedge at the negotiation price of £ 1.95 the sangria, wein and cocktails are also a decent price. really friendly service and they can wear a sombrero!"

"Watched rugby up the road and asked friends who has been in this area to take us to the best Vietnamese on this road famous for Vietnamese (ref: TimeOut). There were 5 of us on a Saturday night, but maybe cos it was a wet night the wait was not too bad. However we gave dagger eyes to this one girl that sat at a table of 8 by herself, maybe she booked ahead but still not the best look for a busy restaurant. We were seated at a table for 4 (in the middle of this long table, so no table end seats) so three of us were a bit cramped but we are (kinda) skinny and just happy to get to sit down and eat! Our friend recommended the rice vermicelli dishes however I am not a big fan of really skinny rice noodles so I ordered pho with sliced rare steak, well done flank, tendon tripe. I also got a plate of spring rolls to start. I would say that the spring rolls here are hands down the best spring rolls I've ever tasted. Fat rolls of top notch crispy deep fried pastry filled with minced pork. The slightly spicy tangy dip also adds a good kick to my taste buds. The pho I would say was decent but not amazing which is a bit of a disappointment. The rice noodle was perfectly cooked with a firm texture and the rare steak was very yummy. The broth was just decent and the lack of vegetables made the dish a bit boring. My friend ordered the rice vermicelli with spring rolls equally loved the spring rolls but found the vermicelli a bit dry and had the same comment on the green lessness. The service was fine, and the environment is what you would expect a cheapie Asian restaurant. However I would say this is borderline cheap eats as my two courses, iced coffee (delicious but on the stronger side) tips came to just under £20. Overall would I come back? Probably not as it is a bit out of my way, however if I did I would definitely stuff my face with those spring rolls again!"
