"My family used to stop here on the way to my Grandma’s house, from Washington DC to Pennsylvania....back in the ‘50s and early ‘60s! How wonderful to stop and eat here....after all these years....so much the same! Great food and great service! I live in Arizona and I was just passing through...what a nice surprise that it’s still here!"

"We have 4 different sandwiches on homemade bread and they were fantastic. So good that we were again for dessert and coffee, which were also delicious. We'll be back. Beautiful area and beautiful outdoor seating in the sun or in the shade. The staff was friendly and helpful."

"Last year I would have written a bright report; I even bought a hot one, but this year? full catastrophe! I went for a $18,50 steak and half of it was gristle. I originally wanted to get the beef-stroganoff (also known as bark meat and noodles) and that went from 10.99 to 13.95! a few next to me told the young waitress that they could not taste the fried oysters they had bought and that they would boast about it 3 years ago. the atmosphere of the place was shot, the young waiters did not know that you were eating (I ordered what was told to be 12 would be, only 9 buffalo wings ended, which were not buffalo at all. they were heavily baked and were the size of the young baby henn wing. yes! unwilling, overpriced, bad quality and inemptness of young waitresses. I know six people who never go there again! what a shame!"

"This is a cool place, and the main part of the restaurant actually is a log cabin. I need go come back for crabs because probably 90% of the other tables were there specifically for the crabs. They take reservations and seem to be quite busy at peak times, so I would recommend getting on the list before arrival if you want dinner on a Friday or Saturday. We arrived on a Friday at about 7:15, and got a table for two immediately, but the place was packed.Service was excellent, and prices were good for the quality. The food was tasty and filling, with good portions, but not off-the-charts amazing flavors. The crab cakes had almost no shell bits which was appreciated.Would be happy to eat here again.Parking: They have a large, free parking lot. That said, this place can get BUSY so if you're coming at 6pm on a Friday you might have to park on the edge of the street if the parking lot is full."
