"I was walking past and thought I’d pop in for breakfast. I ordered eggs Benedict and what I got was microwaved hard boiled eggs on spinach and a crumpet covered in a packet hollandaise sauce . It’s was vile, also a side of microwaved dehydrated mushrooms and side salad. I had to cover it with a napkin and leave without kicking off and making a scene. Avoid this place like the plague."

"What a nice pub! here on a sunny afternoon. the place is old and has so many quirky functions. the barmann was a chatter friendly guy and it seems really enjoyed his work that makes a difference. there is a good selection of drinks to sell here and they are happy to mix it a bit when they ask for something outside the pists. it is very well maintained and everything is clean and neat. they can rent this place for occasions and the personal will work with them exactly what they want. there is a terrace area to the back, which is beautiful and quiet and they forget that they are near a main road. good prices, fantastic service, I will definitely go these from my favorite local pubs. if reviews have made emojis, I would probably insert a heart that kisses you."

"Classic English manor pub style and atmosphere, but with a menu interpretation from the 21st century, which definitely impresses. we visited the 2021 euro final, and regardless of the result, the drinks and experience were very good. the order on their phone makes for seamless rounding of drinks and eating, and the eating and drinks themselves are exactly what they want. as a vegan I was really impressed by the banana blossom chips with how close it is to fish. the appetizer of the allotment is a great vegan starter with amazing hummus, falafel and veg."

"I came and visited on a weekend with the family and it was good to see that they were busy! The food was great, i recommend the roast duck cantonese and manchurian lamb they were my favourites of the meal! We finished off with...some toffee apples and a coffee ice cream, thanks for a great night!"

"We have been few times since renovation and the staff have always been welcoming. This time My husband booked a 2 hours slot table @6pm. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived except for one table. We were allocated a table on the side with uncomfortable seats, and squeezed between 2 other tables at the back. When we asked to change the table we were told the all other tables were booked! When I asked if who ever is coming later asked for the specific tables, the restaurant manager answered no, but showed me on a booking system that our preferred table was allocated to someone else who was to arrive a little later. I did not find the explanation convincing. They obviously have preferred guests and we were not good enough to get the better table. He was rude and lacked manors. Not surprised to find multiple rude manager reviews on tripadvisor Very disappointed"

"We had baptized our daughters here, we had luck and had nice weather to enjoy the fantastic garden with. eating was delicious michael and the staff very helpful. would definitely recommend."
