"Travelled from Bridlington to pick my son up from Knaresborough and thought I would watch the Leeds v Man United match whilst waiting for him to finish work in Harrogate.I had to write this review as I was so impressed with the Landlady what a lovely lady from when I first went to the bar,she was so welcoming.I had lived in Knaresborough before moving and never been in the pub before wish I had now.This lady is always busy cleaning,serving and always nice,she even apologised for the swearing because of the football not that there was much.Beer and customers were great fun as I watched the match on my own.Thanks I will be back again"

"Asked the grumpy bar tender for a pint of pale ale to which he replied we don 't have any and failed to offer any alternative. so what beer do you have I asked? His response was Timothy Taylor Landlord. As discretion is the better part of valour, I chose not to point out that Timothy Taylor Landlord is pale ale for fear i might end up wearing it. so I had a pint, which was very nice, but will l be back ? No! Food drinks: Nice pale ale."

"I've eaten at some really nice places, but eating here honestly is the best pub bur. everything our party was ordered by 4 has been beautifully presented and tasted even better. I ordered cake of the day, minted lamb and house made chips, honestly it was the best cake I ever tasted. beautiful and although I was full, I could not leave it. for what an old run has come down, they turned it a lot. beautiful environment and more beautiful eating. credit for both of them"

"Had a delicious lunch here, the tempura prawns, butternut squash gnocchi and sticky toffee pudding were delicious. The rest of the menu sounded lovely and the pub/restaurant is very clean with a relaxed atmosphere. It was one of the best meals I've had in Knaresborough! It has recently undergone new ownership, and a new Head Chef. The owners Roger and Erica were very friendly and welcoming, so were the other members of staff, Sarah, and the Chef Jamie. They also open for coffees, brunch and in the evening. There's a big terrace outside which will be great in the summer. Would highly recommend!"

"Yesterday night here. what a nice place to stay. rooms were beautifully decorated and had a luxurious feeling. a beautiful note were the freshly baked biscuits all pre-conceived enveloped. they were delicious. also enjoyed browsing through the cook very own cookbook, which was also in the room. the meal was first-class quality all made from local products and although the restaurant was busy workers were attentive and made the entire experience here to stay very special. the breakfast was also great with a large menu choice all freshly cooked to order no buffet style.) we will definitely be back"
