"It appears that the Ovi is in the grip of cost cutting and poor staff relations a result of a period of poor service and meals. Ordered a Rib Fillet...$33 It had been flattened before cooking, looked like a thin rump. Chips were luke warm and I counted 13 on the plate inc scraps Salad was in a bowl the size of a coffee cup.2 small pieces of tomato and some lettuce Staff were mostly pleasant except for Harmony (misnomer) who was in a foul mood. Asked for a glass with my stubby and they put ice in it....this happened to another customer shortly after... This is part of the downward spiral when you have failed to attract customers over a period of time and they stop coming back."

"I'd say this is average to good Indian Food served from a less than attractive venue. The shop is not appealing at all. In fact on our first night we walked there took one look and walked away. We were encouraged by a local to give it a try. So we did and we felt the good was batter than you would expect based on appearances."

"The Lotus Chinese Restaurant, is less a restaurant and more a take away shop. The decor is not somewhere you really want to eat, but the food is actually really amazing and it's really inexpensive compared to all other Asian restaurants in Mount Isa! I'd definitely recommend stopping here if you want to grab and quick and inexpensive take away Chinese meal. I've been here a few times and the food has always been really great!"

"We eat here whenever we want to impress visitors from out of town or have a quite dinner for two. The place is always very clean and well presented. The food is great and well priced, its not the fancy food place where you leave hungry, they are good helpings that are neatly arranged on the plates and cooked perfectly. I hope this place keeps up its high standards as its our fav in Mt Isa."

"I was baffled by the other gentleman's review and had to think if he was some sort of exceptional chef or the simple fact he just doesn't know food and didn't request or explain to the cafe and owners. I went and had a meal there and the burgers are phenomenal....everything is home made...even the mayonnaise...I know because I asked...and ingredients are fresh and delicious. For a small business operating in a rural community...the smoking gun is hands down fantastic with great service..and nothingin town comes close to comparing to their burgers (again I would know I lived there). So go and eat there!!! You won't be disappointed."
