"Huge JEERS to Smokey Joe’s BBQ in Nash, TX! We ordered two 5 piece fish meals at 6:00 PM today (Sunday). First, they were completely out of beans. When my grandmother asked if we could have something to replace the beans since they were out, she got no reply. The girls just looked at her when she asked and turned around and kept talking to one another and never answered her. Second, when they brought our food out I had 5 pieces of fish on my plate that were SO SMALL. They were about half the size that they should be. Also, we never received pickle relish. Our other plate was the same. I took the plate to the front and when I asked “Is this what you call a filet of catfish?” She said “Yeah, we ran out and had so get some from Sam’s. Sorry.” I said “So, I pay full price for this meal and am served only half of a regular portion because your restaurant wasn’t prepared to serve enough food?” She said “Yeah, we close in an hour so....” I said “Exactly. You still have an hour left to serve your customers with the quality of food that you have on your menu.” She again said “Sorry.” I then asked “Can I at least have two of these to equal a regular portion size?” She said “I can’t do that. I can give you your money back but you have to give me your tray of food.” I said “No, I have to eat. But we won’t be coming back.” And she said “Okay.” We ate our meal and no one ever came to our table to make sure we had everything we needed. Not once did she try to satisfy her very dissatisfied customers. I am only sharing this because I don’t want someone else to go in and pay $14.99 for a 5 piece catfish meal and get VERY sub-par fish and service. Too bad Big Jakes doesn’t serve catfish. They always have the best service, portion sizes and food! My grandmother and I also have stomach aches 1 hour after our meal. Coincidence? I think not. — at Smokey Joes."
