"Very good experience the first visit. I had been looking for an alternative place to get an iced coffee/latte. I found it. Thank you so much! (Update) For second visit, coffee was too sweet and not good. Would be good if they can be consistent with the way they make coffees. Disappointed."

"Had such a lovely evening in the charter bar. From the minute we walked in we were made feel welcome by Sarah who couldn't have been nicer to ourselves and my niece and nephew, so friendly and helpfull. The food was absolutely lovely and so fresh and plenty of it, we were all stuffed! Jordan who served our table was so so nice and friendly and always asked us if we were ok for everthing. We are already looking forward to our next visit"

"I was told I should try mulhalls for lunch when I went on a day trip to portlaoise. I just did that, but don't go back. my partner ordered to eat first, the girl served us, think her, marie was her name, she had a...face she was shed on the head, not to carry her face as his intention. they were gum while they were behind the food counter. they made my partner sandwich first, which looked very nice so I told him, id have the same. Just as he went to order my food, the girl wiped her nose with the back of her hand, without changing gloves, asking her what id like went to get the brot. I quickly changed my mind decided not to eat at all. in consideration of the pandemic we have to do with in the minute, I think that might be a very good idea to train the personal in proper health protection procedures, make sure they adhere to HSE advice."

"Rafters is very conveniently located in the Laois Shopping Centre. We were meeting some old friends and used the shopping centre parking area to park the car. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the ambiance (a bright open space) and the...reasonable prices. There was a nice variety of food on the menu; we had the beer-battered Atlantic cod (nice and fresh), with mushy peas and chips. Our friends had tuna melt paninis and we had a very relaxing meet-up after making the journey from Dublin. Prices were reasonable (contactless not accepted), and the coffee excellent – what’s not to like!"

"Went here for a casual cup of tea with a friend and loved it. Super quick and excellent service the staff went out of their way to ensure we are enjoying our experience to the fullest. Very clean warm and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely lobby area with fireplace and coffee shop with sweets to the side, bar has a wonderful warm natural light and a beautiful moder fireplace that surely bring comfort to guests."
