"This restaurant is exactly how it is advertised. It is a local place in a very old house. I think it dates back to The lady who waited on us was very kind and patient. Her English was not bad as our German ha The food is all German; it was very good. It is very local and very casual; my stars are because they do what they do very well. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is fun. We spoke with all the people sitting around us; we felt like we were at family dinner! My husband had schnitzel and it was very good. I had a piece of beef and it was cooked medium and tasted good. We both had fries they were excellent. I mean really good. I would substitute the boiled potatoes for fries every time. I recommend this great place if you want the local feel. Because we were in Germany the beer was flowing and the Riesling was outstanding!"

"Good Time is an Oriental buffet restaurant on the outskirts of the Ratingen district of Duesseldorf.I have utilised it on several lunchtimes over the years as it is not far from one of my company offices. But last week was the first time I have utilised it in the evening.Food wise its a bit of a strange mixture, providing not only a cooked chinese buffet table, but also a Mongolian BBQ section (evenings only I believe) where the Chef cooks your raw selections on the hot plate and then has a Japanese Sushi selection along with a rice cooker providing Japanese sticky rice.So, if you are into Asian, it's almost got a bit of everything, and at €9 for the lunchtime buffet and €15 for the evening buffet where you can eat as much as you like, you cannot fault the value, although drinks are extra of course.Service and food quality have always been good, especially for the cost, when i have been in."

"Here's a short review of my dining experience at Bambus Garten near DUS Airport: The service was adequate although a bit slow. I ordered a beer and opted for the Buffet. Most of the trays were borderline empty, and so I figured they would bring out more food....but they didn't. None of the food was hot, and most of the choices (with the exception of fish were of the fried variety (i.e. small Spring Rolls, Chicken Nuggets, etc. . This was actually the first Chinese Buffet I ever went to which didn't feature any Rice or Soup. No RICE??? Anyway, I had a couple of small Spring Rolls, Sweet Sour Chicken and something which looked like Beef but made me dry-heave. There are quite a few good reviews of this place, so perhaps it can be very good at times...but my experience was not good and certainly doesn't warrant a repeat visit. On a positive note, I will say that the interior is quite unique and charming, as huge trees run through the structure of the restaurant. 2 points for that!"

"None of the reviews give a proper flavour of this place. Which is more of a dive than a restaurant, but a dive with lovely staff and a short but tasty menu on the basis of one dish!. It's a barcafé, not a restaurant, and...the staff were very helpful to this nonGerman speaking Brit, needed because the chalkboard menu is in German, not French despite the name. I played safe with steakfrites, which was a chunky piece of meat with a nice redwine sauce, with sauté potatoes rather than frites, with fresh spinach. Acceptable, not stunning, quality. At inc aperitif and couple glasses of local wine, decent value for money"
