"We walked in when we only had to eat somewhere before we left, oh boy will not be deceived by the prices. The chicken dish was anemic and was extremely disappointing, the pasta dishes were unfavorable and full of water, taste nuance and any kind of ingredients, and the Calamari was only salty and dry. Not to mention the rude staff and lack of tap water, where the filled water WAS €6!!! Don't come here, you'll just be disappointed. It's not the mood. ALSO, waiter encouraged us to leave a tip after all and made clear that it was not included in the bill"

"My wife and I have been in Split for 10 days, we have ate at several “highly rated” restaurants, which turned out to be average at best. Tonight, we hit the jackpot, we decided to try Bakra, everything was absolutely delicious!!! I had the Ribeye steak and the Cheesecake, my wife had the Chicago steak and chocolate cake. Both were amazing, I haven’t had a steak that juicy and flavorful in years, and the cheesecake…Wow! Bravo to the cooks!!! The atmosphere is terrific, cozy and inviting, our waiter “Tonci” made us feel like family, very friendly and attentive. Well worth your time and money, don’t look any further, eat here! Thank you Bakra and Tonci for a lovely evening!"

"Probably among the best steaks we had in Croatia. Good location, very good service and excellent food. Not cheap, but worth every kuna and a clear recommendation. We had no reservation, but they found a nice table, yet I strongly recommend booking in advance in the high season."

"So disappointed by our visit here! we were so excited about it based on the reviews, but it was a huge farewell! the place is in a beautiful environment and there was a beautiful atmosphere. the menu had only a few vegan options as pornstars, so we chose to share one of each. the waiter came to take our order and then said there would be no flambée vegan option left, so we ordered a few appetizers instead, the olives with brot and bruschetta. I also asked the waiter whether there are other vegan options than the baked potato from the farm, and he said no. this confused me because so many people written reviews comment that most of the things can be veganized. ether he or the cook was not very courteous, but no alternatives were provided/proposed?! the appetizers were delicious, but very simple, not the price we paid. we have starved and disappointed, but maybe we have them in a bad night "

"We stayed in Split and it was our first time in Croatia. When we walked they said that we had to have a reservation but if we ate right then and there, then they would accommodate us. The staff was unbelievably friendly and our server provided over the top service! The food was amazing. I got the ribeye with truffles mashed potatoes and highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!"

"Very good food. Went in the next day too. I tried the fish fry and black risotto.My wife tried the Barley prawns and Bell pepper stuffed meat. Everything is fresh and you will feel it as you taste. You could ask for half portion if you feel you are not up for finishing it."
