"We went to dinner and had a nice evening. the restaurant has a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere and eating was excellent. good selection of menu options and many beautiful local fresh products. my man and I chose various appetizers, main dishes and...desserts and exchanged teller, each dish was just as delicious. we will definitely visit this little jewel again! many thanks to the husband and the wife owners for an unforgettable evening. pina and ross luffingham"

"We booked afternoon tea and were so impressed the food was delicious and there was so much off it we had to box some up to take home! Service was brilliant because of the football being on it was very quiet but despite ours being the only booking they didn't cancel us and we were really well fed and looked after. Would definitely recommend it especially if you are visiting Ickworth house and want a treat afterwards."

"A lovely warm atmosphere. Owners and bar lady was very welcoming. Nice choice of foods on the menu and the food was lovely when it arrived. Not overly expensive either which is always a bonus, especially when there are 5 of you and the kids have hollow legs (although there were 6 of us on this occasion). Overall lovely, i would definitely go again!!!"

"Used to be a good gastropub several years ago, but now it seems to be under different management and no way near as good. The roast pork on Sunday was good, but the waiting staff didn't really seem to know what they were doing. Mid priced wines by the glass were below average quality. Service was very slow and unprofessional we gave up without ordering dessert. Clearly not the fault of individual waiting staff, but poor management."

"Went for a Sunday carvery. While this was very tasty the portion of meat was scarce. The staff are very young and completely clueless. They wonder around aimlessly looking at eveything apart from the customers. The barman short hair, glasses , goatee) had a very bad attitude with us , I presume because I took back our 2 pints of IPA because we got brought 2 pints of shandy.
