"Hubby and I believe this is a little gem of a restaurant. Friendly staff and delicious food. Favourite of young and seniors. Very busy on days of plays in Stratford eg matinee days. Hubby had the reuben and I had the elevated macaroni dish with truffle. Both very good."

"Eggs are rolling badly. Greasy. Soggy. Chicken balls couldn't get a dryer. Ribbons dry even though they were in a sauce. I tried not to complain."

"We have been coming to Canada for at least 2 decades. I don't remember when we first discovered Boomers, but we always make sure to visit for lunch almost every day during our one week vacation in Stratford. Sue, the owner, is really tremendous - she is passionate about caring for the cats & dogs of Stratford, while still making the best, most awesomely delicious fries, poutine, burgers (particularly the turkey burger). The menu is far more than fries, but it is so difficult to not just want to gorge on the fries alone. My mom doesn't eat much other than salads, fish, but when we're at Boomers, she never resists those fries. No ketchup for me - vinegar only, but not too much b/c the flavor of the fries is just superior. I grew up on Boardwalk fries - Boomers is better. That's all I can say."

"Delicious food, friendly service was a bit leisurely but we were in no hurry. I'm very impressed by the small but interesting wine list. Everyone at our table had a great meal, plus on a Friday we were able to walk right in and sit at the very comfortable window table."

"It was nice to get inside a restaurant again, something that has been impossible in Toronto for several months now. Pazzo is a favourite of ours: very good Italian food in very agreeable surroundings. The service is very good; the prices are reasonable. My wife...and I shared a kale salad and a Pizza Zsa Zsa Gabor; I also had the soup of the day. Our sons had the crostini and regular mains. Everybody was satisfied."

"We booked our table well in advance, yet we were seated at a table in the farthest corner for a 2 person table, against a wall/window, with minimal privacy, despite an entire other section being available/empty for optional seating(s) and quieter dining; We were offered warm tap water no ice, etc., and subsequently, we were passed by twice at later time w/o being offered tap water at all, despite needing refill(s); Chairs were very uncomfortable; We asked (politely) AFTER appetizer course to change one dessert originally ordered at start of meal, and waiter seemed rather reluctant to do so even though patrons at a table near us didn 't order their dessert(s) until AFTER entrees had been completed (which makes much more sense); We were offered bread with our meal which we accepted (but there was NO mention of the add 'l 5.00 cost added) Unthinkable that bread would not be included with a 2 person meal 180.00 plus re drinks/, supplementary costs, taxes and tip! Not an experience we expected, and certainly did not live up to the reviews we read on line unfortunately!"

"I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant based on the positive reviews and how many years that the owners have had a restaurant in Stratford. I ordered several dishes because I wanted to give a fair evaluation of the food. Overall food quality was OK and it was too expensive. The Thai Pad was good and the fried rice was sub-par (in all fairness, the woman who took our order tried to discourage us from ordering this dish). Both the vegetable stir-fry and the beef stir-fry were OK, The seafood soup was sub-par and the spring rolls were good. The spring rolls were costly but they are about twice as large as a regular spring roll. I rarely talk about ambiance as the food served by a restaurant is of primary importance to me. However, the interior of this restaurant is shabby, basic and not particularly clean. The washroom has a laundry tub instead of a regular sink. This type of interior would have been acceptable to me if the food was not so expensive. I have to believe that most of the customers opt for take-out. In any case, I would like to close on a semi-positive note. The woman who took our order (I believe that she is the wife of the owner) was very friendly although her English skills were minimal. I cannot recommend this restaurant."

"I was with a group of 14 people at the newly-opened Atlantic Lure at the Fox Meadow Golf and Country Club in Stratford. The restaurant here had been operated by a couple of hotels in the past, but now it's renovated and independent and its chef is Norman Day. Many Prince Edward Islanders will recognize that name, but if you don't it means the food is bound to be superb. None of our 14 people were disappointed, and we'll all be back.The atmosphere is very pleasant, the view of the golf course and the Charlottetown harbour is terrific, and the service was wonderful. Prices range from $$ to $$$, depending on your selection from a wide variety of offerings, but whatever you order the value is there. Food is fresh, locally sourced and prepared by an experienced team in the kitchen. The Town of Stratford finds itself now with a very fine dining establishment; certainly one of the best restaurants in the Charlottetown area. And that really is saying something."
