"We chose this restaurant out of the many in Talloires for the menu. I really fancied a burger and it didn 't disappoint! We stated with the shared tapas which was really nice and plenty for 2 people. For the main i had the burger (yum)...and my husband had Morracan lamb. The meat in both dishes was cooked really well. For dessert i had 'swiss dream ' which was essentially an eton mess with ice cream, and my husband had blueberry tarte. The restaurant itself was a bit old fashioned the decor. And they wouldn 't let is eat outside, although they did allow us to have a drink outside to start which was appreciated. All in, we spent €111 for the 2 of us. There are some set menus which are cheaper. But we thought that was reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food."

"I've been lucky enough to go to a wide variety of restaurants, ranging from fantastic dives to exquisite establishments featuring haute cuisine, and Pre-Verel is one of my favorites. I've only been in summer, but whether it was storming spectacularly or sunny and bright, the cozy, rustic atmosphere delighted all of us. The food is sort of rustic French, but rustic French prepared by a chef with a dedication to quality ingredients and strategically employed refined technique. We've been there on dates and as part of large groups. It is a refuge, so if you are on a hiking adventure you can sleep in the bunkhouse. Run, don't walk!"
