"We arrived a little over an hour before closing, when we asked for dine in it seemed like a problem, half way thru our meal being prepared we were told we couldn 't dine in because they didn 't have any plates in the empty restaurant? The food wasbland and the portion sizes was small. We will definitely not be returning"

"Have enjoyed Mel has been for a few decades, and it is never disappointed! Everything on the menu is great, nothing you can go wrong with. Had a stop at a Sat evening at 5:00 and could get a table within a few minutes. Decorated on their onion rings, fried mushrooms, bacon cheeseburger (normal size!... not the Mel or Mega-Mel) and the Monte Christo. The food is always hot, crispy and not greasy. The hostess and wait staff are super friendly and even tho the waiting staff go what seems like a million miles an hour.. You still care about you! The only Ni-Pick on our meal this time, was with the Monte Christo... they needed to melt the cheese in a sandwich before roasting! This sandwich must be warm inside when you bite, not cool."

"I like this place. It was nice country cooking to a tea. We sat immediately, drink order taken, given time to consider the menu. Just what I wanted. Our food order was for the most part correct (forget bananas on my ladies pancakes), but other than that, service was pleasant. Joseph is a good server and I can't remember the nice woman holding my coffee. I went to her for breakfast, but the daily special seemed very popular (beef tips with rice and corn bread. On this note, ask the daily specialties sounded great and comforting. Not to lie, but the men's toilet could use some work. Gnats flew into me. I'm not much in Tomball, but I would definitely go back"

"Food and customer service was really bad. Prices are over the top for what you get. We ordered some crapes and some other dishes to try. Food was not fresh. "Read First Great place to eat out for family fun food. It is pricey, but may be because meat is smoked not charbroiled. Flavor was good not great. No bad experience here to earn 4-star rating. Open toppings bar is a great addition to the experience. As of August 2021, BYOB. Speaking now to the business, a little focus on greeting and new customer education on establishment can go a long ways! Is the meat smoked? What is different than Burger King?"
