"Best pasties in town, simple is always best and amazing value for money. We’re so lucky to have such a lovely independent bakery in our hometown, welcoming so many locals and visitors. Thanks for many childhood memories of all your wonderful treats. How many other towns in the UK can say their grandparents and great grandparents shopped in the same places as I do now. "An awesome carvery. Lovely beef/turkey and wonderful array of vegetables. Nice Covid regulations implementation by friendly staff who walked your food to your table after you chose what you wanted. Shields at the end of the table a nice touch too. Suffice to say it...was a top dining experience reasonably priced with a yesteryear vibe. Shame there was no room in my tummy for the sweet trolley that looked amazing. Highly recommended."

"Visited during our recent holiday in Devon. Enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch, beef was beautifully tender. Despite declaring that he hated Sunday lunch, my grandson polished off a plateful of turkey and all the trimmings! Highly recommended"

"Sat for a Sunday career and the nuss roast. nussbraten was probably the best nussbraten we had in a pub, as it was more like stuffing than it was a dry, superfluous 'dress and crispy, as you get most places. gravy was very tasty for vegetarian engraving. roasties and yorkshire pudding were good and all the sweet sides were amazing. pudding (we had sticky toffe brownie) were nice what we could fit at all, maybe the vanilla ice cream was a little mediocre, but noticed they farmer tom 's ice cream so will definitely ask for the next time. service was great. it will be our place for a Sunday car. many thanks to crealock"
