"Ein sehr schönes Hotel - aber auch mit Schwächen Tolle Lage - mitten im Zentrum - direkt vor der Tür steht man schon auf dem wunderschönen Marktplatz.Der Name ist etwas irreführend- das Hotel ist ein (gelungener) Neubau - von den historischen Gebäuden stehen im Wesentlichen nur noch die Fassaden.Sehr gut: die moderne Parkgarage direkt neben dem HotelNicht gut: Die Anfahrt - das Navi lotst einen in eine sehr enge Gasse - nur 20 Meter vom Hotel - um von dort zur Garage zu kommen braucht man ca 2 km rund um die Altstadt - mit sehr vielen Abzweigungen - ein netter Nachbar hat uns wieder aus dem Labyrinth herausgelotst - das hat er wohl schon oft gemacht! Danke! Liebes Hotel - bitte geben Sie Ihren Gästen eine Anfahrtsbeschreibung!Sehr gut: das schöne Frühstücksbüffet - die Auswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen.Service und Freundlichkeit: mal so, mal so Frühstücks- Personal wirkt etwas überfordert.Hotelbar: unfreundlich und überteuert!Zimmer: sehr schön, komfortabel, sauber, gut möbliert.Bad: sehr schön, sauber und geräumig. Duschen in der Badewanne - mit hohem Ausstieg - nichts für Senioren auf wackeligen Beinen!Was leider fehlt ist ein Balkon, Terrasse o.ä. Um sich abends noch ein wenig raus zu setzenIn Summe: schön und empfehlenswert, wird aber den Ansprüchen nicht ganz gerecht!"

"The old town of wernigerode showed a little brittle during our visit, numerous construction sites were forced to certain detours. also two restaurants of interest in principle had larger construction sites right outside the door, and the service could not guarantee that the construction site noise would not start again. a little further, the “Brauhaus” seemed to be an option, but when it came closer, it was shown as a Turkish restaurant where we had no pleasure. but a few steps further we found the restaurant and the pension at Nikolaiplatz, where there was still a free table in the outdoor area. we took on this table and found the two laminated leaves of the menu half under one deck. Also here was the German kitchen with east part, the unavoidable spicy meat, but we had seen a daily offer on a climber who attracted us much more: "Schnitzel mit Pfifferlingen und Bratkartoffeln" for € 15.90. a little later, an operation came to the table, greeted us and then the order: a large Cola light for Madame (0.4l for 3.70 € and a soft white beer for me (0.5l for 4.20 €). the service thanked and disappeared around the corner in the house, then after a short time came through the door a few meters next to our table again and served the drinks. the corona-induced one-way control required the personal additional counter, but this was nevertheless friendly and always present. In view of the temperature of about 32 °C, the beverages were partially evaporated before they had arrived correctly in the same way. Accordingly, my white beer glass was almost empty when the operation brought the plates with our carvings. Before I was able to report, she asked if there was another beer I immediately confirmed, and then the food: fresh seedlings in a bright cream sauce with some very small bacon cubes in it. bratkartoffeln, who also earned this name, with roasting points on each piece, well seasoned and also with bacon. and then the carvings: delicate and juicy, not too thick, with a golden brown pan in various dark tones that jump easily out of the meat. I haven't eaten such well-made carvings for a long time, between this and today unfortunately widely used examples from the Fritte Laienwelt! we both were tired and felt very comfortable there."
