"Very over priced for the quality of the food. Fish was bordering on being overcooked, wasn't moist and the salad did not seem fresh, without any dressing. Used to eat at the oaks some years ago and found it to be great back then, however after the meal we had tonight, we will not be back."

"Brought a large group of 9 kids for dinner. We all loved the food. I had the beef/steak fajita and the loaded fries. The plate sizes are very generous we had so much food we couldn't eat it all. I definately recommend the churro bites for dessert. Great value for money and really friendly staff. Will be back."

"A beautiful meal and indoor courtyard made for a great atmosphere. It is definitely worth a visit. It is popular so it is a good idea to book early to get a table. Maria Lane is a place that I always consider for dinner when in Whanganui I've had the lamb, beef check and fish of the day. You may want to share sides with friends. I'm looking forward to my next visit"

"Popped in today whilst in Whanganui for work. Such a lovely cafe, delicious cabinet food (I can highly recommend the salmon filo) and amazing staff. Super friendly, efficient service. A huge thank you for letting me set up my laptop to clear a couple of emails too. Will certainly be back!"

Great Service and the Owners are Lovely and Friendly 2nd fish N chip shop I visited on Our move to Whanganui in 1993 it's still going Strong. May not look flash on the interior But it's got Great food!"
