"We really enjoyed our recent weekend stay at the Park Lane Hotel. Fantastic location, spacious rooms, clean, and friendly staff. I think it is a great value for the money. Yes, it is like a 3 star hotel, but it is also a much lower price for a room with a Central Park view than neighboring hotels like the Ritz or JW Marriott. If you want the five star experience, you have to pay for it. It is an old building straight out of the 1970's. The hallways reminded me of a scene in Taxi Driver. However, they are completely remodeling the place now. One reason I wanted to write this review is that I almost canceled our reservation after seeing other recent reviews on this website. My wife had booked it, because she stayed there before. She said it would be fine and it was. So I just wanted to say we had a terrific experience. We will most likely stay there again if we go back to NYC."
